Pink Galaxy Nails

Hello there guys!! The end of January is here, it came a mixture of quickly and not quickly at all. I guess it was a combination of the work and some of the fun I had. And happy Chinese New Year!! I'll have my Chinese New Year design up soon. It's pretty cute.
This design has been on my to-do list for a while and I got round to doing it really. I wasn't really sure where I was going with this one and there were moments of "this is really not working" but certain polish magically managed to save those moments and the whole nail art look. It's nice when polishes can do that.

Here is a pink galaxy which I'm pretty sure would never exist. I really really like the look of this and I couldn't stop staring when I had this on. I think it was all the glitter. Also it's pink so I can't not love it. I made it matte for the bant though I think I liked it equally both ways.

I had my pink base and basically I went insane with dabbing pink in "nebula" shapes (it's in bunny ears cause it totes wasn't in nebula shapes). Then I went insane with the glitter and this happened. I don't have much method if you couldn't tell.

Base: M&S - Peony and Barry M - Fairy Lights
Light pink: Barry M - Dragon Fruit and Barry M - Matt White (wasn't needed)
Hot pink: OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Dark pinks: Barry M - Fuchsia and Color Club - Wing Fling
Pink foil: Barry M - Boots Xmas LE 2012 B
Glitter: OPI - Minnie Style
Flakie type stuff (great description me): OPI - I Lily Love You and M&S - Light Mix
Saviours of the galaxy (SEE WHAT I DID THERE???): Barry M - Princess and Nails Inc - Sweets Way
Seriously these polishes lifted the whole design, the golden shimmer in Princess was something spectacular and the blue glitter in Sweets Way are awesome. I was trying not to use other colours but the blue glitter was fantastic here.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!! :)

Pink Nails: M&S - Peony

Hello there!! Sorry for the lack of nail art this month, I really am trying to get swatches of everything (well most things) cause I just like having swatches of everything, surely that can't be weird (or it really can be weird :/). And yes more M&S polish, this is another favourite. I love pink polish and the shade of this is gorgeous. I definitely not getting sick of these polishes, it's trying a bunch of a new brand and having it be great!!

Peony (cute name) is a lovely middle pink, the shade of a pink peony crazily enough with a lovely silver shimmer. I didn't expect to love this but once I had this on my nails the colour was gorgeous. Not like the other pinks I own too (and I own a lot of pink :/).

I already mentioned that I know M&S because of food but when I go to Asia I know my relatives think of M&S for clothes and stuff like that. It's strange, but I'm glad I can think of M&S too for nail polish :)

Ignore this duochrome looking thing, there's no duochrome (unfortunately for some) my camera was being weird
3 thin coats did the trick and it was nice to apply, can't ask for anything more than that (well maybe 2 coats but whatever). I also have nothing else to write about it.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

The iPhone (Nail) Series: Mega Run

Hiya!! Another lil' iPhone nail series post. I am NOT proud of this one, I could've painted so much better and done a more inspired design. But what's done is done, the iPhone nail series is always fun to write about :)

Mega Run is a spin off from Mega Jump which I almost played and I'm sure most people have played. It's pretty fun but I think Mega Run is much better, it's a lot more fun. So I painted the protagonist Redford on my thumb and then some coins, a cannon, a power star, an enemy and a jewel. Just badly painted and I know it, Redford has some redeemable qualities but everything else is shoddy.

As I was saying Mega Run is a very fun game, and free!! You just run and jump over stuff. I haven't played in a while but I was addicted, I wanted to progress to get to the new stages/worlds. And collecting all the jewels kept me playing the levels again and again. It was a bit cruel, because for the game to recognise you'd collected all the gems, you'd have to get all the gems in 1 run or else you don't get them. So you'd have to do perfect runs, and it wasn't all that easy.
It caused frustration, but fun frustration (mostly), the game is fun so playing the level a million times is kind of fun. But it was satisfying when you finally got them all. I only stopped playing because there were major bugs so you couldn't play the game at all without it jamming. If those got solved I would totes be back on board!!

Base: M&S - Ultraviolet and Rimmel - Disco Ball
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Red: Essie - E-Nuff Is E-Nuff
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Yellow: Topshop - Naked
Blue: Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream
Green: China Glaze - I'm With The Lifeguard
Purple: OPI - My Current Crush

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Blue Nails: M&S - Ultraviolet

Hi there guys!! Still off swatching this Marks and Spencer nail polish, and very much enjoying it. They made some good stuff and the set of 12 (for the 12 days of Christmas) I have is part of that good stuff. Here is one of my favourites, it's blue and a shade of blue I love. You guys should how much I LOVE Essie Bikini So Teeny and this colour is very reminiscent of it.

The polish is slightly less purple toned and more blue toned, the next picture will show that
Ultraviolet a very nice cornflower blue with the slightest hint of silver shimmer (but very slight, it's really only in the bottle). That's really all I can say (finally I stop rambling) but I love blue's like this.

I had to use 4 coats to eliminate all the streaks, they weren't terrible but it had to be done. I know 4 coats sounds like a lot but I have long nails and they were very thin coats. The formula was fine, as I always say shorter nails could probably do less coats.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Glam Polish - Mar Attacks!

Hey there guys!! Hope you're having a nice day, I'm glad the weekend lets me catch up with stuff (and even so, I don't get to catch up that much) cause otherwise I'd have no time. I've been so busy lately it's ridiculous, oh January, how you are so full of surprises.
My dear friend got me this polish as a Christmas present (but given on the first day back to school) and obviously I HAD to wear it straight away. She asked me to give her my nail polish wishlist (lol my nail polish wishlist, it's got a bit ridiculous recently :P) and she picked this super super cute one, eeeeeeeeeee it's so pretty!!!! And fun fact, this is the 25th edition of Gimme Glitter, hopefully many more to come which wouldn't be all that surprising due to my love of glitter.

The swatch for my left hand was better, simply because I used thinner coats so the glitter showed WAY better, and when the glitter shows I'M IN LOVE (I'm in love a lot but it's matte neon glitter). I love things with all the colours so it wasn't a question whether I was going to love this or not.
Mars Attacks! is a mint green polish with (get ready for the list) pink butterflies (which I got obsessed with), red-ish and yellow circles, pink and teal squares, small orange, green and purple hexes and small pink and teal glitter. Look at all the fun, it can't be contained. I loved how bright the green glitter was, and just all the glitter was so cute together.

Glam Polish has so many fun shades, I love that they are so bright. On another note I love the Rainbow Connection UK website, seriously so much good stuff and for the UK!! This will become a big issue for me, an easy access to indie polish, even my friend said as she was browsing she couldn't believe the polish (ok maybe slight exaggeration but that's how I feel).

I used 3 coats for full coverage and for sufficient glitter as a lot of it got covered (:(), I think it needed 3 coats to cover up the slight streaks. But definitely not difficult to apply, just the glitter getting covered up issue. Cause when I was removing this polish, all the glitter that was covered was revealed, and it looked so incredible. So I'm going to have to find a way to apply this to get all the glitter to show cause it's even more beautiful. On the removal note, it wasn't easy because this is a glitter polish, the base came off fine but the glitter required a bit more force, but I could deal. I don't mind removing glitter cause I love it so much.

And here's the right hand swatch, you can see the butterfly on my thumb popping off. The butterflies after a while began to stick out, after 3 days or so the butterflies began to break through the topcoat (some of them), and I took some off. But my nails are pretty curved so this wasn't too surprising for me and I didn't mind. You can see the glitter getting covered up issue I was having but even so this is lovely. I can't say no the all the colourful glitter.

Thank you for reading, hope you liked this fun polish and have a nice day!! :)

Red Nails: Barry M - Raspberry

Hi there guys!! Oh man, I cannot describe how busy I've been for the last month (hopefully begin to things ease up). All because of my school's production, last night was the last night (:'() and honestly I think all the nights went great. We did Grease and I managed to get a part in it, hahaha the teacher, but it was incredibly fun to play. Really it was so great, I do miss it though it gave me no free time (to do my homework...such is my life).
This is the first post I haven't scheduled in a while, I've had a influx of posts due to the holidays (hallejulah) and I still do, you'll see them soon. Some are v exciting. Anyway me being me I had to have nails to go with my character :P I looked up nail trends of the 50's and I don't think I painted my nails according to the trends then but I wanted to try out this polish. It's a Barry M after all. By the way I added something on top of this for the performance and then for the last night I peeled polish off (bad me haha) :P

I failed to get this polish colour accurate in my pictures :( In real life this polish is WAY darker and WAY browner (if that's a word :/). So Raspberry is a dark, maroon-y red, this was a nice gift from my friend for my birthday. Took me a while to try it out but I did. The colour is too dark for me to love, and in general red isn't my colour. But when Raspberry looked like it did in my pictures (in bright natural light) it was lovely. And look at how shiny!!

Many people rave about Raspberry but it's just not my colour, though I do like it. Might as well add that I really like raspberries. But I have other Barry M's that I love WAY more. Barry M is fabulous we know this. He can do no wrong.

Raspberry was very opaque and so shiny. 2 coats and I was done, maybe short nails could do 1 coat. I always say that but you could. The formula was great, this shouldn't be surprising due to Barry M's stellar formula.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great weekend!! :)

Ikat Diamond X

Hello there you wonderful people!! Ok my less procrastinating thing isn't working out so hot, but that's the thing with resolutions, you can't expect them to be immediate and I don't. But I'll actually have to work on this one, a lot. I like this X, very dramatic, it's obviously not really. But I like how much you can do with ikats, and they look great and are so easy to do.

See dat X, it's v fun. I really like the colour combination here, and the bar glitter all peaking through is pretty cool (unless you hate bar glitter, then it's not pretty cool for you). I was worried about proportioning here, but it all worked out in the end. Hallelujah for my black pen!!

I got my white polish and did a rough diamond, then got the brush of whatever colour of polish I was using and did a diamond blob over the white and finally I did some spikiness with the black pen. Sorted.

Base: OPI - My Current Crush and Barry M - Tinsel Town
White: Barry M - Matt White
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Purple: Illamasqua - Jo'Mina
Pink: Madame Milly - Pink (no name)
Teal: Barry M - Guava
Green: Rimmel - Block Your Green!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M - Tinsel Town

Hi there guys!! Another glitter here today, a great gift from my friend (they are all the best). It was a Boots Christmas Limited Edition, love them. But once again I think Superdrug had the better pair, that's just the way it goes. Oh yeah and bar glitter, I really don't mind it to the point where I quite like it. Your bar glitter is not wasted on me.

I guess the other name for this polish is Boots Xmas Limited Edition 2013 D but I'm glad they're finally naming these polishes. Tinsel Town is a pretty good name for this. Well this polish has long pink, purple and green bar glitter, pretty fun, pretty funky.

Some of the pieces of bar glitter were a bit sticky out-y (that sounds stupid) and topcoat couldn't tame it. I pulled out the odd piece that was sticking out. Sometimes the tips would have protruding bar glitter. Not particularly bad though.

I used 3 coats over OPI My Current Crush and the only reason I did that was because I wanted the glitter packed look (like usual). The bar glitter spread really really well, I had no migration to the tips and there was tons of glitter from each coat. A+ bar glitter I say. I just want to say I much prefer shorter bar glitter compared to longer bar glitter, this is longer bar glitter so it's not completely my cup of tea.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Owls amidst the cherry blossoms

Hi there guys!! Oh man I can really embellish my titles, but honestly I LOVE this look. Owl nails are always cute and these "cherry blossoms" (flowers really) make them nicer (imo, I've never used imo before). I'm trying to sort out blog posts and editing pics and also school work, I'm just hoping I can get everything done in time. Positive thinking is the way forward ;)

Ok I LOVE the glasses on the red owl. I feel like the whole look just works, and you know me I love bright colours. It incapsulates the things I love in nail art. Cute animals and flowers, oo and glitter. I wanted glitter as the owl pattern, I wanted a uniform pattern but then I used The Teen Queen randomly as the feathers all messy and I thought it was brilliant (and that pale pink glitter is great here)!! I used the word "love" a lot, but I do love it.

Like usual I got my toothpick and brushes of nail polish and got to work. And the placing of glitter was with a toothpick. This look also wasn't very difficult but, fun in how all the pieces came together.

Base: w7 - Lava Flow
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Blue: OPI - Sea You In Hollywood
Green: Max Factor - Cool Jade
Yellow: Topshop - Naked
White: Barry M - Matt White
Green glitter: Orly - Go Deeper
Shimmery golden red: OPI - Jinx
Pink: Barry M - Fuchsia
Purple: Illamasqua - Jo'Mina
Pale pink glitter: Hare Polish - The Teen Queen
Brown: w7 - Brownie
Teal: Barry M - Guava
Orange: Essie - Tart Deco
Red pink: OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Red: Essie - E-Nuff Is E-Nuff

Thank you v much for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day!! :)

Purple Nails: OPI Liquid Sand - My Current Crush

Hello there lovely ones!! I've been on a bit of a swatch rampage if you couldn't tell, unfortunately for me the holidays have ended so I can't do that anymore. So the abundance of swatches will stop :( even if no one else has been liking them I definitely have. I like going crazy about polish and writing way in depth about it. Also trying out all the polishes is fun.
I got this quite recently from TK Maxx (my love <3) in a lil' set. I think it was called The Texture Effect(?), and came with a base coat which swayed me even more. Given the fact it was limited edition and Liquid Sand, it was obviously going to come home with me.

My Current Crush is a purple/plum textured creme with silver glitter that occasionally looks pink because of the purple base (though not in my picture :().
I am not in love with this like I was in love with Jinx cause it's not a completely sparkly one (those have my heart, I need all the sparkly textures) but I do like it. It's just nice, I would've thought with the plumminess I wouldn't like it, but this is just about not plum enough for me. If was more plummy I would hate it haha. Textures are awesome though, I really really hope it lasts. I need neon sparkly textures (oh my gosh that would just be my perfect polishes!!).

I really can't say no to limited edition things, this is going to be a big problem in the future. The base coat was a nice addition, I pretty much have not been using base coat as base cat for the past 2 years. They run out really fast!! But the OPI bottle is big. I'm really really not fussed when it comes to base coat, literally anything will do. Explains why I've been using a french manicure pink as a base for the longest time haha. Having a real base coat is nice though. TK Maxx also had OPI DS Lapis which I somehow managed to convince myself that I didn't need, I'm skilled at that :P

I used 2 coats, but 3 couldn't have hurt to be honest. It was good formula wise, no issues, applied well. It's nice when polish is like this. But tipwear is pretty prominent for this one, but sure to wrap your tips. On another note the name is really cute, though the word "crush" is v juvenile, it's still can be cute :3

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a really cool day!! :P :)

Gimme Glitter: w7 - Lava Flow

Hi there guys!! I hope you're having a nice January, it's full steam ahead for me. School tends to do that. Anyway polish is much less grim, I'm still waiting to tell the "story" of these, I will once I swatch the final one. There are 3 w7 polished I hauled by the way, I got them in a pretty spectacular way. Key word: pretty (it wasn't that spectacular).

Lava flow is your white base with small red and black glitter. It's mad cool isn't it? I love how dramatic the red glitter is, I need more red glitter in my life. And obviously black glitter is awesome. There's so much glitter it's fab, I love polishes like this.

I guess I have another mini story about this/these polishes. I had these on the wishlist, but thought I was never actually going to get them cause I didn't know any shops that actually sold these so I gave up. But then I find them, it was pretty great, but I'll tell that another time.

The formula of this was really great, each coat was PACKED with glitter so this was 2 coats. And v opaque, the Nails Inc one (Sweets Way), I did 3 coats and there was still some VNL but this 2 coats and not a nail line in sight. I think the base of this one is much more opaque and yet doesn't hide the glitter, a very important balance that w7 has got right.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Have a gold star! And a silver one, and a pink one...

Hi there guys!! Simple nail art today, this was the other half of my true new year's manicure. I wanted something simple and to let the bar glitter shine. Haha many will not be keen on letting bar glitter shine :P

I love stars, one of these days I'm going to say "I love stars so I made up a super awesome manicure with them", one of these days... I wanted a simple gold, silver and bronze colour combo but without the bronze. And replaced with pink and white with black and red glitter instead. Oh yeah and gold turned into mustard yellow cause I forgot to put the gold on top of it lol.

This one was v simple, I drew some stars with black and filled them in. Normally I would paint the colours first then the black but I was lazy haha.

Base: Various green polishes and Barry M - Sour Apple
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Yellow: Topshop - Naked
Silver: Nails Inc - Abbey Road
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White and w7 - Lava Flow
Pink: Barry M - Princess

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!!! :)

Magical Rainbow Fish

Hello there guys!! Hope you are having a nice day. I just want to say that I watched Saving Mr. Banks and The King's Speech recently, and they are brilliant. I did not expect to love The King's Speech as much as I did, it's incredible and I think everyone should watch it.
I posted my new year's nails on the 30th and on new year's day and I really did intend for them to be my new year's manicure. But then I decided to change up my nails on new year's eve. And this is one of the manicures I did, I kind of loved this manicure and I'm glad I went into the new year with awesome nails (not meaning to be narcissistic :/). Yeah this is why I love the holidays, I can get a ton of posts up so even 8 days after new year's I have posts to fill in-between.

It's a lil' fishy design!! But it has the blue, purple, pink combo that gives a "magical" effect (let's pretend), I really like the fish, they look nice. The scale nails were originally big fat fails, I thought I could do scales with placed glitter alone, but fail I wasn't placing the glitter in the right place and the green holographic glitter was too similar to the base. Yay for black outlining that saved the scales. They were mad sparkly, I can always support mad sparkly.

For the fish I got help from Mr. Candiipants's Koi design, didn't mean to do so many Mr. Candiipants designs but the koi were very helpful for this. I painted a white base then dabbed all the colours onto the fish then did black detailing.

Base: M&S - Peacock and M&S - Light Mix
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Silver and green placed glitter: Barry M - Hologram Hexograms and Orly - Go Deeper
White: Barry M - Matt White and Lovely Me:Ex - White for the base
Blues, purples and pinks of the fish: Color Club - Sky High, Barry M - Blue Moon, OPI - Get Your Number, M&S - Ultraviolet, OPI - Last Friday Night, Barry M - Berry Ice Cream, OPI - Plum & Get It, Color Club - Wing Fling, Rimmel - Disco Ball and OPI - Polka.com
Pretty sure I mentioned every polish used, normally I know but it was a bit of a dab fest and all the colours blended and bam I'm not sure about the polishes I used. But I think I named them all. Though I'm really the only one who cares haha.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day!!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M Confetti - Sour Apple

Hello there fine folks!! This is the sad day that school starts :( But also the brilliant day where I got a new indie polish!!!! :D Expect to see that soon, it's all mad exciting. Anyway I got this polish as a gift from a dear friend (the same friend who gave me the indie polish today :)), I love all the Barry M's, obviously not all the Barry M's are perfect (but the vast majority of them are) and the "Confetti Effects" could have been the ones to tear me. Bar glitter is a controversial thing but I am not a hater like most people seem to be.

Sour Apple is full of matte blue and yellow bar glitter, dupe to Nails Inc Brighton (well at least I think so), I honestly don't think bar glitter is all that bad, I think it's ok. What I really like is the colour combination, it's like bar glitter Floam!! I know I will never possess Floam (neither am I very bothered by that at all) but having the bar glitter version is pretty nice. Seriously once people start making matte neon bar glitter polishes I will be so done (though once people start making matte neon anything polishes I will be so done).

The Confetti effects came out last year with 5 polishes, what I really liked is all the sweet based names, how cute right? Maybe I'd get another from this collection, wouldn't make it a priority but I rather like this one.

Each coat was packed with glitter, I used 3 coats cause as usual I wanted the glitter packed look, not difficult to apply, everything spread fine so in general application was good. I put this over various green polishes, weirdly the glitter made them all look more similar. This glitter isn't necessarily rough but it's not completely smooth without topcoat. Ok removal isn't a breeze, but once you've "broken through" the mound of bar glitter it's actually not too hard to remove, better than a lot of other glitter polishes.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: M&S - Light Mix

Hi there guys!! I hope you have keeping up with your resolutions if you made any and are persevering. I don't usually make resolutions, in yesteryears I did the whole stop biting your nails (yes, I used to be a biter!!) but then I actually did and gained another obsession haha. But this time I have legit ones which I want to progressively tackle, go self-improvement!!! One of the main ones is waste less time and less procrastination, that will be a hard one but determination is a thing, there's no use giving up before you've begun (haha I'm feeling so deep :P).
Anyway I have a super pretty glitter, like who knew M&S could come out with such awesome, I don't know if it's technically glitter but not like it really matters :)

Guys, this is SO pretty. Seriously. I don't know how to describe this, I don't want to call them shards because they're not they're not sharp and sticky out either. But they are not flakies either, I've decided it's "flards" or "shakies" both names I'm not particularly fond of lol. Also the type, I guess there's an element of iridescence there, but the "shakies" (:/) are mostly blue, green, purple, pink and peach, but pastel versions. I think Light Mix looks best over darker colours but I also have it over a pale base.

This is another from the limited edition set from M&S, seriously pretty polish I am so impressed. I tested it out over a both of colours on a sheet of paper but decided on this combo because it has a somewhat mermaid-y feel about it.

I used 1 packed coat for each nail over M&S - Peacock, it spread easily but if there wasn't a packed coat obviously not so many "flards" (oh gosh I hate using this term -_-) would be on the nail. But one thing I'm really happy about this polish is that none of the "shakies" stick out (cause I hate that!!) and bother me, it was all over smooth ever without topcoat.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Comparison: Mint Greens

Hi there guys!! Hope that if you're having time off you're enjoying it, I'm contemplating doing work, I decided after new year's day I would and this time I'm determined!! Cause like I actually need to get this stuff done...
I have another comparison today, only took me like 4 months, honestly I don't have all the polish to compare but I want to make my comparisons somewhat worthwhile. So mint greens, I don't know how I obtained so many but such is a nail art fiend's life :P

So we have Essie - Turquoise & Caicos, Rimmel - Misty Jade, Max Factor - Cool Jade, Barry M - Mint Green and I threw in Illamasqua - Nomad even though it is very different.
Misty Jade is the most blue toned and Cool Jade is the darkest of the lot. Honestly I think these are jade greens, I think the Barry M and the Essie are the most similar with the Essie being slightly lighter. But they're all quite similar as you can tell and they are especially similar in certain lightings, except Nomad, much more green-toned and beautiful.

My favourite is obviously the Illamasqua, the colour is the most beautiful in my opinion (it was in my favourites last year :)) but the most expensive, it's rare I splurge but I feel like Nomad is really worth it. But maybe you feel the Illamasqua is similar enough to the other polishes, personally I don't haha. But my second favourite is Cool Jade, not only because it was given by my friend but also it's a gorgeous colour with a perfect formula. Maybe you think I'm crazy and these are all identical to you but as the Like A Candy Shop meme goes "They're not the same, they're similar".

Illamasqua was 2 perfect coats that totally could've been one if I used a thicker coat of polish.
Barry M was 3 coats but probably could've been 2, tash on the gloopy side but my bottle is old and it's not bad at all. Seriously this was one of the first polishes I ever bought in a bunch of Barry M's.
Max Factor was also 2 perfect coats.
Rimmel was 3 coats, also probably didn't need it another slightly gloopy one but not bad.
Essie was a definite 3 coater, jelly so it's easy to bubble, I'm not the biggest fan of this polish. I thought I'd love it but no, as you can see its very similar to other polishes I own and it's not better. I keep saying I'll try to use this more, who knows if I'll ever do that haha.

Thank you for reading (and found this somewhat useful?) and I hope you have a wonderful day!! :)

Top 15 Nail Polishes Of 2013: Part 2

Hi there guys!! Ok we are continuing the favourite polishes today, I have to say the top 3 polishes for me were so easy to place. From yesterday's post if you've been reading last year you might be able to guess what the top 8 could be. But I love all these polishes :D

8. Barry M - Superdrug Xmas Limited Edition 2012 B. I just loved this polish the moment I put it on, of course it's a shadow of it's former self now because of bleeding glitter (seriously it sucks, bleeding is a pain) but it's still beautiful. I adore the mix of glitter and the holographic glitter in this is SO special.

7. Hare Polish - The Teen Queen. I don't make many indie purchases but this definitely is a worthy edition to my collection, I LOVE the matte blue glitter and that blue shimmer is so so pretty.

6. OPI - Jinx. This blew my mind when I first got it, the sparkliness was making me insane (in a good way). The golden sparkle is extraordinary and I think this is bombin' on my skin tone which is rare but if a polish loves you, you love it back ;)

5. Barry M - Prickly Pear. Guys, you know I love this (or maybe you didn't, well that's a fact about me), this turned me into a total purple fanatic, there was me thinking I didn't need this. Just a beautiful blue-toned pale purple.

4. Barry M - Guava. Now I got this very recently and I haven't worn it a million times but sometimes you just have to wear something once and know it's love. Guava is an amazing colour, right inbetween blue and green, and I love blue and green so this is right up my alley (not my camera's alley though, my camera hates it haha).

3. Models Own - Beach Party. Why didn't I get this sooner??? Clearly an orange neon is required for me, yeah it's an orange neon, it's fantastic, it's fantastically bright and I really really love brights. It doesn't require a white base, a neon not requiring tedious neon needs, this one is incredible. I seriously seriously need to wear this again and again and again.

2. Barry M - Superdrug Summer Limited Edition 2013 A. This was another love at first polish, even before I found out that this was a neon it was beautiful. I just ADORED the colour, then I found out it was a neon and I was done. I do not care that it requires 3 coats over white and it's a jelly and jellies and I don't get along all that great so bubbles. I can look past ALL of that cause it's so beautiful.

1. Lush Lacquer (now Polish Me Silly) - Clowning Around. Please don't tell me this was a surprise, did you read how crazy about this polish I was? Go on, read it, I could not even. And I still can't even, rainbow neon glitter. It's a combination of all my favourites things. Obviously this was going to take the top spot cause it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life. Even after sad glitter bleeding it's still beautiful and I hold on to the memory (and pictures) of when I first tried it. Oh gall dem big pink hexes, and all dat neon glitter, urgh I can't THE FEELS.

Well that's me done for this year, here's to another year of gorgeous polish!! I'm quite emotive about nail polish if you couldn't tell from this post :P Last year I was saying how I was surprised about the lack of pink polish, made up for it this year though. Barry M is clearly my big winner this year, they released some incredible polishes that I really appreciated. I can never guess what's going to be in my favourites from year to year, it's great. I never knew I was going to be introduced to the most beautiful neon glitter of my life. So I'm looking forward to fantastic nail polish. So this year had 1 Lush Lacquer, 7 Barry M's, 1 Models Own, 1 OPI, 1 Hare Polish, 1 The Face Shop, 1 Etude House, 1 Nails Inc and 1 Color Club. Yep Barry M definitely dominated. Same went for last year actually. I hope there are some great neons this year cause I'll be even more done than I am right now haha. Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)
