Gimme Glitter: Revlon - Celestial

Hey there people!! I have this really cute glitter polish today, I was very fortunate to be able to go to Japan this year, and it was lovely where we were at. And yeah I got this polish from there. They're Revlon bottles are smaller than the usual 14.8ml (approx.), and they're really cute!! I'm guessing they're 8ml, but compared to the regular bottles they're adorable. I'm all about this polish because of one thing, moon glitter.

I don't know what it is about moon glitter, but it's fabulous!!
Celestial is a glitter topper with holographic moon, star and diamond glitter (how exciting!) with lots of small iridescent glitter. It very much gives the night sky effect; also we've already talked about how much I love holographic glitter so we don't need to do that again. However while I like this polish I'm not enamoured, I have a feeling it's also about the combo I did. I think I could've paired the glitter with a better blue.

Hello holographicness
I was looking for this when it first came out with Heart Of Gold, or whatever it's called. It was the one that had the heart glitter. It was the moons that called me, of course every Revlon stand I looked at never had it so as usual I convinced myself I didn't need it and moons can be found everywhere (not true). But hello Celestial in random Japanese store!! I don't forget about moons. Though I really like the star glitter in this polish too.

The iridescent glitter was very plentiful but the big glitter was different story. The fishing was real, without it I got about 2 pieces of big glitter on each nail. Also the big glitter is spiky, even with topcoat it stuck out and you guys know that spiky glitter is spiky. It can potentially hurt a person. So beware haha.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!!! :)

Blue Nails: Revlon - Dreamer

Hello there, I have another swatch of a polish that I've had for quite a while and I don't know why I stalled so long not swatching it. Well I have it today and it's always been a really pretty blue polish.

Dreamer is a dusty cornflower blue creme, and emphasising the dustiness cause I think that's what makes Dreamer different. So yeah as you can see it's a really nice polish.

I don't have that much Revlon polish, I like it but it doesn't make me want all of them (which is a good thing actually). Nothing that blows my mind. But it's solid stuff and the ones I have are very good and I like the colours. But generally the colours I have, I have better alternatives that I prefer to use. Sorry my Revlon polishes.

I used 3 thin coats, and I applied very well. I know you can get opacity with 2 coats but my bottle is quite used up so getting the coats was a bit more difficult. The first coat seems a bit sheer but it builds well.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a nice day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Revlon - Belle

Hi there folks!! Hope you're having a nice day. Today as you can probably guess I have a glitter. I think this is the first polish my best friend gave me like almost 3 years ago or something :O :3 I would literally layer this over EVERYTHING, I was a glitter fiend then as well. But I got over that phase and now I'm just an abuser of all glitter.

Belle is a glitter topper with silver and iridescent glitter and medium hexes of holographic glitter. It's a legit mix, not the most groundbreaking but most of the time you don't need that. Belle really is a great addition to nail art, adds that extra sparkle that I always need.

I do like a good Revlon polish, but they don't tend to do polishes that make me want to run down to the stores. But it's solid stuff. I think Belle could've been some kind of limited edition polish(?), so as usual my bezzie did a great pick.

The formula was good, like a glitter topper should there was a great amount of glitter on the brush and I wanted 2 coats for what I think is sufficient glitter coverage. I put this over Rimmel Block Your Green!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Combo: Sweet Freak

Hey there, how are you? :) I have a test tomorrow and I spent ages revising and I really hope it wasn't all in vain cause it kind of feels that way. I have a nice combination today, I just piled on the glitters and it worked (I love when that happens). I once again forgot that pale purple doesn't suit me (remembered after putting one coat on a nail) but glitter helps.

I used 2 coats of Essie - Lilacism, which is lovely but seriously doesn't suit me. In real life it's more purple, I feel like I've taken better pictures of it before. I am being swayed by purple polish, once I find my perfect one (I have a couple of ideas...) I know I'll be hooked. I went on to use 1 coat of Barry M - Silver Glitter and Revlon - Belle (which didn't really do anything but it was nice to use it). I liked it like that, but I wanted to add Models Own - Freak Out!. It has shards but they're not too bad here, I really like the mix of glitter, especially the dark blue hexagons. But I don't think I'll be buying more of these Mirrorball polishes simply because they stank (to be read in a sassy way) and the brush is unbelievably wonky. I used 2 coats with some dabbing. I also never really know when to use this glitter in nail art (I will find a way) but for now Freak Out! is more than enough for me (but I do like it!!!). Finally I added a matte topcoat cause I had to, cause I love matte nails.

So thank you for reading and have a lovely day!!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Random Glitter Skittles

Hi there, hallelujah the long week is over!! Today I have some random glitter skittles, I felt like glitter (but why lie, I always feel like glitter) so I did glitter. I don't do skittles a lot as I'm not the fondest of that look but I quite like it here.

I used 2 coats of each glitter on top of Nails Inc - Motcomb Street, that is one dark polish so I felt it needed some glitter on top. Glitter from left to right. Barry M - Aqua Glitter, OPI - Last Friday Night, Butter LONDON - Shambolic, Revlon - Radiant and thumb is OPI - Metallic 4 Life. I've already done Gimme Glitter posts on 3 of these polishes, Barry M - Aqua GlitterOPI - Metallic 4 Life and Butter LONDON - Shambolic. I actually quite like the look of this.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day!!! :)

Combo: Blue Explosion

Hello there. Hope you're having a nice day, I know I have dodged a bullet today and I'm glad that everything today. Thank goodness. Well I have a little combo today, I didn't get great pictures and I forgot to clean up :/ But I really liked the way it looked. Even though it only lasted a few moments, it was a nice few moments.

Ain't it cool beans (I'm talking weird again :/)? But really, all the glitters make a crazy glitter explosion. Though total it was 7 layers (bad move) I would probably calm down if I do this again. I started with one coat of Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream and added the glitter. First 2 coats of Barry M - Aqua Glitter (a birthday present from a friend, I really like it), followed by 2 coats of Revlon - Radiant and 2 coats of OPI - Last Friday Night. I think Last Friday Night made it pretty, iridescent glitter can be very pretty.

Have some other brighter pictures, 'tis pretty cool. Removal was easy, all I had to do was push it off, came off in one swipe. Thick layers of polish never last :P

Combo: What I dreamt last Friday night...

Hello there!!! I hope you're well. When you get new polish, you want to use it. It's basic science :P So that's what I've been doing. I have been itching to do some nail art but I need to try new polish :P And nail art will be happening soon. Last Friday Night was very much an impulse thing, many a time I have persuaded myself that I do not need. Except when I saw it I caved and got it -_- But I don't regret it at all, as the pictures will show :)

Ain't it nice? :) But it's much nicer in real life, they are both very pretty polishes. I started with 2 coats of Revlon - Dreamer one of my favourite layering polishes. And it pulled through again!!! I think Dreamer is one of the best bases. I then proceeded to add OPI - Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection last year. 4 coats, it was to build up the sparkle. I honestly thought 3 coats wasn't enough. Last Friday Night is a sheer blue base with little round iridescent glitter (who knew iridescence could be so nice?) with blue micro glitter (which is GORGEOUS), it is a very lovely glitter. It's very simple but I really really like this on my nails. Blue iridescent glitter is nicer than pick iridescent glitter. I was even considering putting this into a Match Made In Heaven post, but it wasn't of that caliber but close.

Nice lil' close up. It was much nicer in real life, but I thought it was super pretty. Isn't the title cute too? No? Just me? :( :P

Match Made In Heaven: Razzmatazz Dreams

Hello everyone. This is my new "series" for my favourite layering combos. I was meant to start this a while ago but I wasn't happy with my pictures. Actually the pictures I've recently taken have not impressed me either but I decided to do the post anyway. The length of my nails varies a lot in the pictures (I didn't even realise how long my nails were).

As simple as it looks I think it's perfect. It's Topshop - Razzmatazz and Revlon - Dreamer (I didn't come up with a very original name). Dreamer being one of my favourite layering polishes, I still don't like the colour by itself, but with Razzmatazz on top :) It's magic ;)

I first did this combo because I didn't want to put on Razzmatazz by itself. I don't see how anybody could wear it by itself, someone said it was 3 coats for full coverage, I did an expriment and it was 6 coats for no bald patches (I am a bit over the top sometimes). It looked amazing in the sun, but otherwise it was a weird shade and a complete nightmare to take off.

By the way Razzmatazz is probably my favourite nail polish, it's for one simple reason that I will mention later. I looked at Dreamer and thought it would be nice underneath. And by golly I was right. It's like Razzmatazz enhances the colour of Dreamer. I couldn't stop staring at my nails, so pretty.

As much as I like my blues and pinks and oranges. I LOVE HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER!!!!! SO MUCH. I'm not sure about holographic nail polish, I've seen pictures and have not been too impressed, I'll probably have to try one out in real life. But I just think, HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER IS AMAZING. If a polish has lots of holographic glitter, I'll automatically love it.

Dreamer is kind of a cornflower blue or a powder blue, Razzmatazz has a lilacy-bluey base with tons of small pieces of holographic glitter and some bigger pieces.

                                       (Picture of the holographic goodness)

                                           (Some other random shots)

My pictures suck (are ok) and just didn't do it justice but it's truly gorgeous (I know I'm biased cause of the holographic glitter), I would and do wear this combo all the time :)

Blue Nails: Revlon - Blue Lagoon

I've been doing quite a few of these "*insert colour here* Nails" posts, but that's because of all the polish I've been buying :/ Hopefully this is the last polish I buy in a while. This was one of the polishes I bought in the Boots clearance section (darn you clearance sections!!! >.<). I love any blue-toned, turquoise-toned, teal-toned etc. polishes. I had also seen this colour previously, I wasn't that interested until it was on sale.

It's a light blue with silver shimmer. The shimmer did not photograph very well. Sometimes in the bottle the shimmer looks blue/purple but it's definitely not like that on the nails. Oh by the way China Glaze Luxe and Lush looks really really nice on top (maybe pictures another time). Luxe and Lush needed a slightly darker blue to look nice. The flakies just look really nice on top. In the pictures I used 4 coats, 3 coat was still a bit patchy. It was so incredibly easy for my cuticles to get flooded. My index finger I used 6 coats, the moment I finished, went on my phone and whacked my nail against my glasses. Left a very large dent. It's quite a liquidy polish (any sense?) but with my master fixing skills I covered it up. Can you see it in the photos? Hopefully not. It's nice but not great, of course I needed another pale blue.

(A close up where you still can't really see the shimmer)

Combo: Seaweed in troubled waters

Hello!!! Back from my "break". Well I went on a trip, then I went to my cousin house for 2 weeks and I couldn't find a way to upload my pictures (I probably could've found a way to upload my pictures but I decided to take a break :P). When I got back to my aunt's house there was a bit of a computer problem so I had to wait until I could post. But anyway now I'm back to posting (need to get used to writing sentences again :P).

In my opinion one of the best things about nail polish is layering. There are pretty much endless combinations, so this is one of the combinations I have done. I'll probably be posting quite a lot of combos, I love them! ;D

And yes I give them names sometimes (most of the time). I thought the green sparkle was kind of like the seaweed and the crazy layered glitter was "troubled waters". This was Revlon - Dreamer, Revlon - Radiant (blue glitter with larger green pieces) and Revlon - Belle (silver glitter with larger holographic pieces and blue glitter). Dreamer has always been one I layer over. I don't really like this combination, I layered Radiant first by itself and that didn't look too good. Belle did make it look better but it was the colour of Dreamer. I don't actually like it. This is why I layer over it.

Well you win some you lose some. This was kind of in-between cause I like the glitter (but they are nicer in other combinations).

More combinations to come, most better than this one :P
