Combo: Ice Queen and Punk Princess

Hi there!!! My freedom was taken away, as school began again. Sad times for all the people going to school, including me. We all know school is not a bundle of fun times. I have a combo post today and I haven't done one of these in ages, I think I've been doing so many Gimme Glitters that combos have kind of been neglected. I was meant to do some nail art on top but I loved the glitter combos that I went without. Also I know the title is really lame but I love it, I feel really clever that I connected queen and princess together even though that's not very clever :/ Fun fact: I have exactly 15 Gimme Glitter and Combo posts each (super interesting I know).

My favourite things about this manicure are the sheer white hexes over the dark blue and the black glitter over the pink. These are the "ice queen" and "punk princess" elements.

The pink is Color Club - Wing Fling an extremely pretty glass flecked pink (2 coats) and the blue is Kiko - 266 (2 coats), I borrowed this from a friend as my go to dark blue (Barry M - Indigo) has been low for a while. I own Kiko - 265 which I thought was a cool coincidence and my friend did not haha, I get excited over little things.

On the blue nails I used 2 coats of OPI - Last Friday Night, which I just love the aqua micro-shimmer within that pops over dark blue. And 1 coat of OPI - Pirouette My Whistle, and I'm in love with those sheer white hexes which I always have to mention cause they're gorgeous.
On the pink nails I used Barry M - Ruby, I actually like how the pink glitter blends in with the base cause it looks like just black glitter on the nails. I want to use Ruby over a lighter pink cause I know it'll look awesome cause Ruby is an awesome polish. I used 2 coats and then some cause I wanted a lot of glitter, I think I went a bit overboard (it happens a lot) cause the pink base isn't coming through that well but I still like it. The formula is also awesome, it spreads on so easily and there's no migrating to the tips issues. Ruby is pretty different to OPI - Minnie Style but I much prefer it, better formula and looks better, the black glitter is super edgy haha.

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked the look and have a great day!! :)

Combo: Indian lagoon on a Friday

Hi there guys!! The long week is over, kind of. I have to revise, hopefully I'm not the only one. But every time I say "I'm definitely going to revise today", it never happens and it repeats for the next couple of days until it gets to the point of "Gurl, you actually have to sit down and do some work". Anyway, today I have a combo, I like combining my blue polishes (blue is my favourite colour) and often they work really well together. So unsurprisingly this combination worked.

It's subtle but pretty, I got a few compliments on it and I was surprised as it was so simple, but sometimes simple is the way forward.
I started with 3 coats of Revlon - Blue Lagoon. A pale blue with a silver/blue/purple shimmer which is pretty but never shows up on camera. It has a weird finish, not shiny, not matte, not really satin matte, kind of matte-shiny but more matteish? Ok I topped my worst description ever, but basically it's not your standard creme.
I added one coat of Models Own - Indian Ocean, I like it more as I use it more. It's a shimmery blue/purple duochrome, it makes blues pretty (unless they're dark, then a weird shade of purple shimmer turns up and it's not as nice).
Finally I used 3 coats of OPI - Last Friday Night, a sheer blue base with iridescent glitter and a blue micro-shimmer thing which is gorgeous. Looks awesome over light purple too, it's a lovely subtle glitter to complete the combination. I love me some blue nails anyway.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely weekend!!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Random Glitter Skittles

Hi there, hallelujah the long week is over!! Today I have some random glitter skittles, I felt like glitter (but why lie, I always feel like glitter) so I did glitter. I don't do skittles a lot as I'm not the fondest of that look but I quite like it here.

I used 2 coats of each glitter on top of Nails Inc - Motcomb Street, that is one dark polish so I felt it needed some glitter on top. Glitter from left to right. Barry M - Aqua Glitter, OPI - Last Friday Night, Butter LONDON - Shambolic, Revlon - Radiant and thumb is OPI - Metallic 4 Life. I've already done Gimme Glitter posts on 3 of these polishes, Barry M - Aqua GlitterOPI - Metallic 4 Life and Butter LONDON - Shambolic. I actually quite like the look of this.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day!!! :)

Combo: Blue Explosion

Hello there. Hope you're having a nice day, I know I have dodged a bullet today and I'm glad that everything today. Thank goodness. Well I have a little combo today, I didn't get great pictures and I forgot to clean up :/ But I really liked the way it looked. Even though it only lasted a few moments, it was a nice few moments.

Ain't it cool beans (I'm talking weird again :/)? But really, all the glitters make a crazy glitter explosion. Though total it was 7 layers (bad move) I would probably calm down if I do this again. I started with one coat of Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream and added the glitter. First 2 coats of Barry M - Aqua Glitter (a birthday present from a friend, I really like it), followed by 2 coats of Revlon - Radiant and 2 coats of OPI - Last Friday Night. I think Last Friday Night made it pretty, iridescent glitter can be very pretty.

Have some other brighter pictures, 'tis pretty cool. Removal was easy, all I had to do was push it off, came off in one swipe. Thick layers of polish never last :P

Combo: What I dreamt last Friday night...

Hello there!!! I hope you're well. When you get new polish, you want to use it. It's basic science :P So that's what I've been doing. I have been itching to do some nail art but I need to try new polish :P And nail art will be happening soon. Last Friday Night was very much an impulse thing, many a time I have persuaded myself that I do not need. Except when I saw it I caved and got it -_- But I don't regret it at all, as the pictures will show :)

Ain't it nice? :) But it's much nicer in real life, they are both very pretty polishes. I started with 2 coats of Revlon - Dreamer one of my favourite layering polishes. And it pulled through again!!! I think Dreamer is one of the best bases. I then proceeded to add OPI - Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry collection last year. 4 coats, it was to build up the sparkle. I honestly thought 3 coats wasn't enough. Last Friday Night is a sheer blue base with little round iridescent glitter (who knew iridescence could be so nice?) with blue micro glitter (which is GORGEOUS), it is a very lovely glitter. It's very simple but I really really like this on my nails. Blue iridescent glitter is nicer than pick iridescent glitter. I was even considering putting this into a Match Made In Heaven post, but it wasn't of that caliber but close.

Nice lil' close up. It was much nicer in real life, but I thought it was super pretty. Isn't the title cute too? No? Just me? :( :P
