SImple purple flowers + hot pink glitter

Hi there guys!!! Welcome to the new year *manly whoop*!! To a year of good times, being kind and less procrastination. And welcome back to PlumeriaPainted, I love florals and it's nice to start the year that way. Inspired by Mr. Candiipants cause this floral design was a stroke of genius, so easy to do yet looks so good!! The colour combos are endless and I just love her nail art, it's incredibly funky and on another note she is just hilarious!!
Also I feel like I want to mention her cause of the whole stealing issue that we've been all hearing about and unfortunately Candice has been affected by. I'm appalled with the stealing and frankly I think it's sickening, this is hard work created by talented artists and it's carelessly being stolen for profit (and probably to aid egos too). There are plenty of places to read up about it if you want to so I'm not gonna go into it.
I always give credit when I'm inspired by another, it's common decency really, and they deserve it! I can imagine she who will not be named stealing from me (which is something I'd hate to happen) and her getting away with it cause this place is so small, but people are catching on and hopefully she'll be stopped. She's stolen from the big dogs, obviously someone is going to notice!!
Lol that got deep, sounds like something from a fantasy movie (;)), sorry to start the post with a mild rant but it's been very apparent lately. Anyway to the nails, we are now back to focusing on the nails!!!

I was stuck with what to do with my nails then flowers appeared, then all the glitter. I thought the design could do with more pink so glitter was the answer. I told myself to use less glitter in designs but I don't think I can do that, expect lots of glitter this year (and all the years)!!! I quite like this, it's simple and sweet. Also the odd appearance of the square glitter is cool.

The flowers were done with the brush of the polishes, so easy to do. Also I used no black nail art pen, I placed black glitter and I really liked it. The hot pink glitter was a mixture of dabbing and placing, I wanted quite a lot of glitter. My bottle of Minnie Style has more pink due to me placing the white glitter in that polish in various designs.

Peachy pink: Barry M - Princess
Glitter: OPI - Minnie Style
My bezzie bought me another bottle of this cause she is the best, I feel like 2 bottles is fine and also they are very different. My current bottle has squares (not to mention a big decrease in white glitter) and my new bottle has no squares and an equal amount of pink and white glitter (obviously not exactly equal) :)
Purple (lightest to darkest): Essie - Lilacism, Barry M - Prickly Pear with Topshop - Razzmatazz, Illamasqua - Jo'Mina, OPI - My Current Crush and OPI - Plum & Get It
Black: the black glitter from Barry M - Ruby
Green: Barry M - Greenberry

Thank you so much for reading (ma lil' rant lol) and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Mr.Candiipants Vintage Flowers + Polka Dots

Hello there you lovely folks, 300th post!! I forgot to do something special for this haha. But I am in love with the mani I'm gonna show you. I stalk Instagrams and this time it was Mr. Candiipants and I loved her vintage flower and polka dot look and I had to recreate it right away. Her floral looks are so fabulous, expect to see more recreations of her floral looks here. I also just LOVE her personality, she's hilarious!! Also for once my nails have the same manicure, so on my other hand this manicure is inverted and together they look pretty cute.

I did my little changes and it's just such a pretty design. Yes it is very spring/summer-esque but I am permanently in that period. The colour scheme is great and I added glitter which makes me love this more. The flowers were so ridiculously easy to paint and they look great. And polka dots are always cute.

I brought Jinx back out again and top-coated it and it looks beautiful. The shimmer comes out even more and somewhat glows (if you get me) and it's gorgeous. Something that made me hesitate buying textured polish was I wasn't sure if/how I was going to use it. But I am using them all the time in different ways so clearly this calls for more textured polish to be bought!! Well that's how I see it :P

Orange-y Red: OPI - Jinx
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
This smudged cause it's annoying but I got a toothpick to fix the smudges.
Off-white with rainbow glitter: w7 - Linen and The Face Shop - Vanilla Sugar Yogurt (LOVE)
Red: Essie - E-Nuff Is E-Nuff
Green: Max Factor - Cool Jade
Yellow: Barry M - Lemon Ice Cream
Pink: Per Una - Pink (no name)
Shimmery Teal: OPI - Sea You In Hollywood

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely Sunday!! :)

Cute Nautical Nails

Hey there everyone!!! We are nearing the end of the week (whoop whoop), this evening consists of homework (which requires effort which is something I am not so keen on) and a new episode of HIMYM!!! Yay!!! I love the nautical style, the stripes, the colour scheme, the anchors etc. It is simply adorable, so I wondered why I hadn't done nautical nails in quite a while. That obviously called for some nautical nails.

Ok (not to sound narcissistic) I love it, I've just mentioned my love for the nautical style, it's fabulous. I didn't have a detailed plan before I went in and I'm so happy with the way it turned out :D The hearts are so small and sweet, they're something I normally would have messed up, but not today mister!
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Blue: Kiko - 265
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Blue/Pink/Silver Glitter: Nails Inc - Sweets Way
Green/Holographic glitter in blue base: Orly - Go Deeper
Red nails looks super sophisticated, Dutch Tulips is my go-to red. 95% of the time I use Dutch Tulips, it's a great red, it has a bit of a bit of pink tone to it and is plain pretty. It could totes be 1 coat but I do 2, unfortunately I've had my bottle for a while and it's getting a tash gloopy, but I can definitely deal with it cause it's not too bad. Kiko 265 is also a one coater, very dark I have to say but the shimmer is sooooooooo pretty. I added glitter to the hearts to add a bit of interest, totes (totes abusing totes today) pleased with how it turned out.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day!!! :D

Combo: Galaxy Like

Hello there. I'm not really sure if this is a combination, but I thought I might as well put it under this category. This was originally meant to be the base of some Halloween nail art (since I still haven't done them :/) but it turned much different to what I was expecting. I still might use it as a base, but it definitely deserved some photos on it's own.

The word I would use to describe this is mental. I was trying to create murky waters or something like that, but I thought it turned out Galaxy-esque, and I love galaxy nails so it's good in my books. It's like a really easy way for galaxy nails.

I started with one coat (ONE COAT!!! :)) of Kiko - 265. The one my best friend got me, honestly I thought it was a bit too dark for my liking when I first used it. But obviously I was using it wrong or something because when I used it again it was nice. The blue shimmer in it is gorgeous, and one coat. I'm not one to be fussed about formula but one coaters are nice.

So craziness begins, I was planning on using a makeup sponge to sponge on the colours but I gave up on that and just used the brushes of the nail polish to do random shapes on different areas of my nails.
I used...
Purple: Rimmel - Purple Pulse
Pink: OPI - Japanese Rose Garden
Blue Glitter: Revlon - Radient
Purple/Blue Shimmer: Models Own - Indian Ocean
But I think the glitter that brought it all together was China Glaze - Luxe and Lush at first I used a little bit then got a little crazy with it. Piled it on, but I think it looks so cool. Definitely different from what I imagined but you have try new things to see if they work :)
