Nautical Print Nails

Hello there guys!! I was feeling like some nautical nails and so I did some nautical nails. Nautical never disappoint me, they're like textbook cute with a great colour combo and really cute patterns. I really like this one today!! :)

So I was going for different nautical "prints" with hearts, anchors, stars and stripes. I really like that heart print, ever since my Reese and Cyrus Animal Crossing design I have been <3ing heart print, it's so simple but SO CUTE!! I always like anchors so that worked well for me. The duff nail is the star and stripe one but I think it adds to the design; go double accents ya'hear!!
Also Last Friday Night is such a super pretty polish, I totally forgot. It's the perfect subtle, delicate (that blue shimmer though) glitter.

For all the prints I used my toothpicks carefully and the stripes were with the brush of the polish, that's why they a little bit messy (but such are stripes).

Light Blue: Barry M - Sugar Apple
Red: Essie - E-nuff Is E-nuff
Blue: H&M - Blue My Mind
White: Barry M - Matt White
Teal: Barry M - Guava
Glitter: OPI - Last Friday Night

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Cute Nautical Nails

Hey there everyone!!! We are nearing the end of the week (whoop whoop), this evening consists of homework (which requires effort which is something I am not so keen on) and a new episode of HIMYM!!! Yay!!! I love the nautical style, the stripes, the colour scheme, the anchors etc. It is simply adorable, so I wondered why I hadn't done nautical nails in quite a while. That obviously called for some nautical nails.

Ok (not to sound narcissistic) I love it, I've just mentioned my love for the nautical style, it's fabulous. I didn't have a detailed plan before I went in and I'm so happy with the way it turned out :D The hearts are so small and sweet, they're something I normally would have messed up, but not today mister!
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Blue: Kiko - 265
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Blue/Pink/Silver Glitter: Nails Inc - Sweets Way
Green/Holographic glitter in blue base: Orly - Go Deeper
Red nails looks super sophisticated, Dutch Tulips is my go-to red. 95% of the time I use Dutch Tulips, it's a great red, it has a bit of a bit of pink tone to it and is plain pretty. It could totes be 1 coat but I do 2, unfortunately I've had my bottle for a while and it's getting a tash gloopy, but I can definitely deal with it cause it's not too bad. Kiko 265 is also a one coater, very dark I have to say but the shimmer is sooooooooo pretty. I added glitter to the hearts to add a bit of interest, totes (totes abusing totes today) pleased with how it turned out.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day!!! :D

31 Day Challenge - Day 12 - Stripes

Anything nautical is good in my books. Again it’s SO cute. I’ve done nautical nails before but I wanted to do something different. Quickly I ran into a problem, with my white nail polish being difficult. I had to try and use more of the other colours i.e. blue, red. But I searched some pictures on the Internet and this one design kept coming up. It was ultra cute and turns out it was from The Beauty Department (really adorable blog and so informative).

I was wondering how everyone’s stripes were turning out so perfect, until I read the tutorial. “Use a French manicure kit”, at that moment I realised I had one and ran to get it. I didn’t see any other reasons why I would use it. That French manicure kit has proven immensely useful; I didn’t think I’d use it at all. I spaced some out a bit unevenly but otherwise it’s good. Mildly difficult to cut with scissors, I didn’t have any other fancy tools so scissors had to do. I was careless and got a massive chip on my thumb on my right hand, thankfully the sticker covered it over. I’m loving Radiant so I had to use it to add to the blue. And the hearts just make it adorable.

 Colours used:
