Bright Butterfly Nail Art

Hello there!! Today's nail art was one of uncertainty, not like butterflies are overly crazy but I didn't know how this one would turn out. They're my standard cute animal design but I didn't know how well it would work with butterflies. But go being pleasantly surprised cause I ended up really liking this one!! :)

It's the bright colours isn't it? That always makes me a happy bunny. But honestly I think the butterflies are pretty cute. The wing pattern isn't exactly inspired but I like simplicity sometimes. I wanted to let the glitter shine cause bright colours!! I think I like the butterfly on my ring finger the best. See my thumb? I used the glitter as antennae, smart ideas from PlumeriaPainted :P

This was a toothpick design and it was extremely random. The colours of the wings and antennae were ones that went with the flow of whatever colour I was using.

Blue + Teal Leopard + Rainbow Cookie Spots

Hello there guys!! Happy weekend, good to see you here. I've finally done another leopard, 30th of June was my last leopard :O I had a pact to make sure I only did maximum 2 leopards a month. Now it's been nearly 5 months since the last leopard :O Well I'm glad I branched out into different things but it's now is the time for a leopard print.

I also wanted to use all the colours quite clearly. You know I love me a leopard, I only do the crazy colour ones (well there was one exception), it is the best way to get ALL THE COLOURS into a mani.

I also wanted a gradient, at first I regretted the rainbow cookie spots and thought I should've done a gradient leopard but in the end I really liked the rainbow. I love all things rainbow.

Blue gradient base: M&S - Ultraviolet (similar to Essie Bikini So Teeny, soooooooo up my street), Rimmel - Azure and Rimmel - Disco Ball (I love the holographic glitter in this)
Teal gradient base: Barry M - Guava (I love this, post on this soon), M&S - Peacock and Barry M - Sour Apple
Black: M&S - Petrol
When my friend kindly gave me the box for the Marks & Spencers polishes the back said "textured" and I was like "Marks & Spencers is doing textured???" like the fact they were doing nail polish was baffling and textured polish was just mind blowing. I began to try to guess which one was the textured one and I did guess Petrol due to the glitter. It looks beautiful, especially that green glitter/shimmer, I can't wait to try it on it's own!!
Pinky Red: OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Peachy Orange: Essie - Tart Deco
Green: Illamasqua - Nomad
Purple: Illamasqua - Jo'Mina
Pink: No.7 - Me! Me! Me!
Orange: Bourjois - Tangerine Fatal
Yellow: Ciate - Loop The Loop
Light Purple: Barry M - Prickly Pear
Yes all the colours, some regulars in there as well as some new ones. I hope to post swatches of everything eventually, just cause I want to!! :P

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Colour-block Leopard

Hey there guys. How you doing? ;) I succeeded last month with not doing leopard print from halfway through January to the end of January. But it's kind of disappointing how soon in February that I needed to do leopard print. But this time I genuinely needed leopard print. I failed, like failed failed. I was so unhappy with the design that I wasn't going to post it. But I decided to battle on, and I knew only one thing could save my failure. And course that was leopard print.

It's not great, but it was much much worse. It wasn't pretty, I thought "Triangles will look cool!!!". Wrong, I hate when that happens. I've decided that I'm going to limit myself to 2 leopard prints a month, cause I want to do more than just leopard print!!! But I love leopard and always will.
Green: Illamasqua - Nomad
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Sparkly Purple: Butter LONDON - Shambolic
Pink: OPI - Japanese Rose Garden
Blue: The Face Shop - BL601
Yellow: Topshop - Naked
Orange: Essie - Fear Or Desire
Purple: Essie - Lilacism
Red-y Pink (in this lighting): OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Pale Green: China Glaze - Re-Fresh Mint
Brown: w7 - Brownie
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
I used french manicure stickers as tape (we all know I'm a pro) but after a while I began to freehand the triangles because of laziness and I didn't really think the tape was helping much.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely weekend!! :)

Some Random Leopard Print

Hello there. Again this was intended to be Christmas leopard print, but I kind of lost my way. I'm not too annoyed though. 'Tis still alright. Not my favourite leopard print, since obviously I can't go for too long without leopard print :/ Maybe I'll do a more Christmasy one, this one is simply random.

Just saying that lighting is difficult after 4pm in winter (I should really sort something out). I had an urge to use I'm With The Lifeguard, it happens and I need to ride these impulses. I don't know what was going through my head when I was doing this. My second and middle fingers remind me of the Hulk, fourth finger is somewhat Christmas themed and my pinky reminds me of Trident strawberry and lime gum (it's good gum).
Teal glitter: Barry M - Aqua Glitter (my picture was too bright there, I have better pictures of this polish) with The Face Shop - BL601 underneath
Gold: w7 - Golden Sands
Green: China Glaze - I'm With The Lifeguard
Purple: OPI - Plum And Get It
Dark Green: OPI - Jade Is The New Black
Light Red: Essie - E-Nuff Is E-Nuff
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black (no name)
White: Models Own - Snow White
I'll be back with more Christmas stuff, I have to stop getting side-tracked :/ Also not too keen on the short nails. I never learn, but I have to play the piano :P

Have a nice day!!! :)

Multi-Coloured Gradient Leopard Print (+100th post!!)

Hello there!!!! Welcome to my 100th post, it's come awful fast. I've been wanting to come up with something nice, I never intended to do more leopard print. But it happens. Especially with me. I'm in the middle of exams so I haven't been able to post as much as I've wanted. So spending less time on nail business, so I'll have more time to do revision. Now whether I've done that revision is another story :/ But anyway, to the manicure.

Since I loved the gradient leopard print I did quite recently (I don't mean to be boastful), when I was stuck I decided to do more. I really was trying to avoid leopard, but I love leopard so there's nothing I can do. But really what a better way to celebrate 100 posts, more leopard!!! And it goes without saying, but I quite like this. Surprisingly my favourite nail is the yellow one, I like the way all the colours go together, oh yeah I outlined in colour instead of black and I busted out my bobby pins. Now for the colours used :/ Leopard print dots first (lightest to darkest). I bet I used near 100 polishes.
Purple: Essie - Lilacism, Rimmel - Purple Pulse and OPI - Plum And Get It
Blue: The Face Shop - GR501, Nails Inc - Baker Street and Kiko - 265
Pink: OPI - Japanese Rose Garden, The Face Shop - PK105 and Per Una - Fuchsia (no name)
Green: China Glaze - Re-Fresh Mint, China Glaze - I'm With The Lifeguard and OPI - Jade Is The New Black
Red: Essie - E-Nuff Is E-Nuff, OPI - Dutch Tulips and w7 - Burnt Amber
I probably love listing these off too much.

And here's the bare bones of the gradient, I'm very happy with the pink nail. Gradients are way easier to do with glitter with a tinted base. My gradients still are not good, but I've never been good at gradients. I also like how subtle the orange gradient was.
Pink: Orly - Basket Case, OPI - I Lily Love You and OPI - Excuse Moi!
Orange: Essie - Tart Deco, Bourjois - Tangerine Fatal and China Glaze - Luxe and Lush
Blue: Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream, OPI - Last Friday Night, Barry M - Aqua Glitter and Revlon - Radiant
Yellow: Barry M - Lemon Ice Cream, w7 - Golden Sands and Nails Inc - Glamour Glitter
Purple: Barry M - Berry Ice Cream, Rimmel - Purple Pulse, OPI - Plum And Get It and Topshop - Razzmatazz
Then leopard print happened and everyone was happy :P

Well there was another rambly post on Plumeria19, hope you all have a wonderful week!!! :)

Hoot Hoot (Owl Nails)

Hello. I was in a "I don't know what to do with my nails" mood, but owls came to mind. I want to go back to doing super cute nail cute and not really difficult nail art (cause I'm never pleased with the results).

These nails were inspired by Supa Nails design. I originally had the thumb design different but I did something that messed it up so I changed my design. Anyway here are the nails.

Yay I really like them and they're cute!!!! ^_^ This is me trying to be season appropriate. I changed the design a bit with the little hearts and the little triangles and the happy eyes ^_^. Which I quite like, but only because of the different colours. If it was one colour I wouldn't like it.
Pink: OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Blue: The Face Shop - GR501
Orange: Essie - Tart Deco
I used 3 of my favourite polishes for this hand. I wasn't sure what to do for my index finger, but I decided I liked it plain and I kept it that way.  Charged Up Cherry always turns up really orangey for me. I don't know why. The first picture isn't very colour accurate and honestly I'm too tired to do anything about it :/ The second picture is far better :)

I switched up the colours for my left hand, I normally don't like mismatchy hands but if it's the same design with different colours = I love.
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Blue: Barry M - Indigo
Purple: Essie - Lilacism
I really like Lilacism even though the whole purple thing, it's a nice colour and a nice formula. I love the clash of red and purple, during the first day of the 31 day challenge with red nails. I had painted my toenails in Lilacism and adored the clash. It's slightly more season appropriate.

31 Day Challenge - Day 16 - Tribal Nails

I think Tribal Print is really funky and cool. I’ve done a tribal print type thing before, but it was the same design for every nail, so it was much simpler. With tribal print there are so many possibilities, and I think that’s just the best thing about tribal print.

It was a one nail at a time kind of situation. It took me a while but mostly because I just didn’t know what to do for each nail. In practice tribal nails are really easy, but they look more complicated than they actually are. Anyway, I am super proud of my tribal nails, I’m really happy with how they came out. They just scream fierce :P I was trying to use minimum white, as mine is running out. I used 2 lines of white :D

Yep I love it :P
