Pink Nails: Color Club - Wing Fling

Hi my people, I have an awesome Color Club polish for you today. I <3 the 2 Color Club polishes I own and I have been searching TK Maxx high and low for more (and also because of their amazing topcoat, I LOVE that topcoat), but to no prevail and no one else sells Color Club :( One day they will come to me :P Wow I don't know what I'm saying sometimes, anyway this one is gorgeous and I love pink polish, I'm a little girl at heart.

Wing Fling is a gorgeous dark pink/fuchsia glass fleck polish with a hint of duochrome (not strong at all, it's kind of gold-ish I guess but doesn't really show on the nail), and yeah it's beautiful. Blue and pink polish are my two favourite polish colours and there are tons of great pink polishes and this really is one of them.

Wing Fling is from Color Club's 2012 Summer Take Wing collection, TK Maxx gave the whole collection but I gave most of them away, but I kept Sky High and I loved that one a lot. The collection was full of glass fleck polishes in most of the rainbow and it was a brilliant collection.

The neon coral jumper strikes again
2 coats, 0 fuss, 0 issues. I love when formulas are like that, you can't ask for more and makes things so much easier.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a nice day!! :)

Top 15 Nail Polishes Of 2013: Part 1

Hello there guys!! Here we are, favourite polishes of last year!! I feel like doing it in January gives the cycle completion and I guess the year wasn't finished cause you never know you might find your favourite polish on the 31st of December (though it's highly unlikely). Not everyone does these but I LOVE IT. I'm obviously not the most qualified considering I don't get masses and masses of polishes a year (and I'm glad, I like using my polishes well) but I love giving polishes the love they deserve. As you can tell last year's top 10 polishes (see: January 2013 in the archive ;)) have now turned into the top 15. There was me halfway through the year thinking I wouldn't even get a top 10, yeah... Oops?
And the end of the year always brings the most polish compared to the rest of the year and then there's the mass "swatching" and debating what to include. This list was not easy to compile, I kept rearranging the order and reconsidering everything but I think I have got my final list.
One thing about my list is that not all of these polishes came out in 2013, last year I wasn't too bad about having the same year polishes but this year, nope. My favourite polishes cannot be determined by year, but the colours that I love and feel happy having on my nails. That can't be wrong, so here are my top 15 polishes of 2013 starting at 15 (and split into 2 parts :P).

15. Barry M - Berry Ice Cream. There's no better way to start the list than with a Barry M. Oh Berry Ice Cream, the polish that began my journey as a purple fiend, now there's are tons of purple polishes that I'm loving and craving (which can be seen as a good or bad thing). The subtle pink tone is so pretty and it's a great base that I feel looks really nice with nail art. And is lovely as a stand alone polish!!

14. Color Club - Sky High. It's weird that I don't have that much blue polish in my favourites but this one is gorgeous. The purple duochrome really is something, it's mesmerising o.O

13. Nails Inc - Notting Hill Gate. I got this for Christmas last (last?) year, I can't say no to a neon. Especially if it's neon pink. This is a pretty fantastic neon pink, it's not got a perfect formula but I don't care, it's neon pink.

12. Etude House - WH901. I love matte glitter, I love pastel and all the little shaped glitter is SO cute. The holographic and white glitter are very nice touches to this polish, though the formula has little to desire it's so cute I can definitely forgive it.

11. Barry M - Greenberry. As I've mentioned this colour used to be my perfect colour, it's a stunner still though. I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to formula but this is really is perfect. It's lovely, it's bright, it's amazing.

10. Barry M - Dragon Fruit. The Barry M Gellies were stellar this year and expect to see more in this list. I love pink polish, it's probably irrational but I'm okay with that. The shade of Dragon Fruit is gorgeous. The silver shimmer in this is also gives this pink polish something special.

9. The Face Shop - Vanilla Sugar Yogurt. Rainbow glitter, and I was down. I don't know why I love the orange glitter in this but I do, but just look how much fun this polish is!! Like a fun, colourful cake.

Well this is the first half, second half coming tomorrow. I hope you currently like my picks, thank you for reading and I hope you have a fabulous day!! :)

Blue Nails: Color Club - Sky High

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Oh looky here, it's now possible to follow my blog on Bloglovin' (at least I think so, I'm such a noob with the internet :/), how exciting! Hi there you fine folks!! Hoping Wednesday is going fine for you, I'm yearning for the end of school, it can't come soon enough. Today I have a blue polish that I obtained recently. It's pretty great, the shade of blue is one of the main reasons I loves it. Also the beautiful duochrome.

This is probably the most colour accurate picture I took, but the others show off the duochrome. This is the most accurate portrayal of the blue, the other pictures make it too foily/dark. Ain't it a great shade?

The duochrome really is something, it wasn't really showing up but it's very prominent in real life (hints are in the picture). My friends were also oohing and aahing with me as the colour shifted from blue to the super pretty purple. In all honesty duochrome isn't really my thing because personally I don't think the colours of those polishes are very nice, but this is a definite exception. Also I have a lot of blue polish, but not a shade like this. Yay!!

I used 2/3 coats for my swatch, 2 is definitely enough but I applied it weirdly so some nails needed 3 coats. Unfortunately I made my coats too thick so bubbles were formed (but you can't really see them in the pictures!!!), thin coats are best for this polish. It builds well and it's so pretty during application. The brush is on the smaller side, I don't care but you might :)
I saw others commenting about staining with this polish but I had none, this time and previous times. With the use of 1/2 coats of base coat I had no staining, but it might stain on you so to be on the safe side you should use 2 coats of base coat.
I got this in a set from TK Maxx (where else really?) and I think it's fantastic. It's from last year's Take Wing collection. I want to have more Color Club's in my life ;)

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!!! :)

Pink + Blue + Purple + Green Leopard

Oh hey there guys!!! I hope you are all well, I have a mildly stressful week ahead of me, but hopefully everything will turn out right. Happy last day of April, I have to say this year is going obscenely fast, I can't keep up! I can't go a month without minimum 2 leopard prints, I was doing my nails, couldn't think of what to do and I was like "Oh my goodness I haven't used my 2nd leopard print!" which obviously called for my 2nd leopard print (I held out til the last day of April!).

I used a double accent for the banter (I am enjoying this phrase), I wanted to try out some new polishes (as in last post) and of course leopard is the way forward.
Pink: Color Club - Wing Fling
Blue: Color Club - Sky High
Purple: Barry M - Prickly Pear
Green: Illamasqua - Nomad
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Color Club Wing Fling and Sky High are glass-fleck polishes from last year's Take Wing collection and I have to say. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I told myself I could keep 2 from the set and it was tough, but I've been looking for a more fuchsia pink and I'm a sucker for blue.
Sky High is AMAZING, I surprisingly don't have a blue that shade. Glass fleck polishes are so pretty and sparkly and Sky High has the most beautiful purple duochrome going on. I have mentioned I am not a fan of duochrome polishes, but this one is in a league of it's own (didn't show up in photos though).
I really really liked all the colours I picked up (by the way after some calculating I got the Color Club's for £1.14 each :O Love ya TK Maxx), but Prickly Pear and Sky High were automatically added to my favourites.

Thank you for reading and I wish you a fantastic day!! :)
