She's my little Minnie Mouse

Hello there lovely people!! Hallelujah for the weekend, am I right? Gonna chill and enjoy this sunny (I know right, insanity) Saturday. I'm pretty sure Minnie Mouse is a universal cartoon character everyone knows, and she's adorable. And since I felt like it, that calls for Minnie Mouse nail art.

Ok not gonna lie I'm really proud of this one, I adore all things cute and that lil' mouse is the epitome of cute. I freehanded the design (as always, I can't do anything else :P) with the combination of nail art pens, toothpicks and the brush of the nail polish. I'm happiest with the Minnie on my thumb, it was precision to the max. I thought top coat would screw up everything but thankfully it really just smoothed things out, as opposed to smudging everything. Yay for that!!
Pink: Barry M - Fuchsia
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Light Peach: w7 - Linen
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Linen is a very opaque polish which was handy (pun?) for this design. I wasn't sure if pink would be a suitable background for this design but I think it works as it brings out the girliness (sorry I'm not very sure if this word exists) of Minnie... Or something like that, my english essay mind is currently wanting to appear. It's too bad I'm not very good at english essays.

During my 31 day challenge last year I did a Minnie mouse-esque design, it's much simpler but it's quite cute. Beware of bad cuticles though.
Finally a close-up of Minnie :)
Thank you very much for reading this rather long post and have a wonderful day!!!! :)

Cabbie! (with some doodles)

Hi there guys! Hope everyone is happy today, as why not we all deserve to be :) Now from the title you may be thinking "Cabbie? What is that, taxi driver nail art?". That is where you're probably mistaken :P I have an obsession with the show Victorious (I'm a big kid, that is also literal), and Cabbie is the sole reason why I LOVE that show. The other couples hold no candles compared to Cabbie. Cabbie is Cat and Robbie, and yeah hopeless romantic here but they are SO CUTE. I can't cope. I don't think my nail art does them justice but it's not too bad it's quite cute.

The red cat with the glasses is the main focus point here. A cat cause of Cat, red cause of her hair and the glasses for Robbie's glasses. Pink and blue also seem to their colours, I could've done more Victorious stuff in this manicure but I was tired :( So I added some random doodles which I ended up quite liking. I put topcoat over the cat and that got messed up (clearly I'm doing something wrong) but I fixed it up, also I didn't like the cat in real life but in pictures it looks way better and I'll take it.
Pink: The Face Shop - PK501
Foil Pink: Barry M - Pink Foil (Boots Xmas LE 2012 B)
Blue: Essie - Bikini So Teeny
Light Blue: The Face Shop - BL601
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Pk105 looked brighter this time I had it on which is always good in my books. Bikini So Teeny was also showing it's shimmer! I did like the way the pinks and blues went together.

I wanted Cabbie together since the 4th episode of Victorious, "The Birthweek Song" when Robbie invites Cat to his grandmother's house. Clearly my favourite episode with them (ok there are a few) is "One Thousand Berry Balls", I cry tears of cuteness. The sad thing is Victorious got cancelled so Cabbie will never officially be together :'( That really was the only thing I cared about in the show, at least finish the season properly before cancelling it :'( I hate when TV programmes do that, end a show without a proper ending. But One Thousand Berry Balls will have to do :/

Thank you very much for reading about my (potentially creepy to you) Victorious obsession :P Have a great day!

Disco Bows

Hi there guys. The "story" continues, I still cannot look outside as the snow is actually blinding now. Well maybe not blinding, but it really hurt my eyes. There was my mother wearing sunglasses in the snow when we were going out. I don't know why these are "disco" bows, but they're cute.

I have been in the mood for bows, AND THEY ARE SO CUTE. But really, I need to paint more bows on cute animals and food (potentially). Colour combination is an important thing too, and I like it.
Pink: H&M - Check Me Out
Yellow: Barry M - Lemon Ice Cream
Blue: Barry M - Blueberry Ice Cream
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
White (as a base for the yellow): Models Own - Snow White
The formula for Check Me Out (2 coats) and Blueberry Ice Cream (1 coat) were great, Lemon Ice Cream not so much but it's still a good yellow (3 coats).

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!! :)

Leopard/Bow nails inspired by Vivianne Westwood shoes

Hello there :) I've been wanting to do this mani ever since I realised I hadn't lost these shoes in the summer. They were a gift from my aunt when we went to Thailand. They are a collaboration between Vivianne Westwood and the brand Melissa. They are super pretty, unfortunately not shoes to walk in. They kill feet but otherwise they look really cute.

See they're pretty :) Now to the nails!!!

I also just wanted an excuse to use Baker Street, it is simply stunning. The bow didn't turn out how I wanted it to. Burnt Amber helped improve it but mimicking the bow on my shoes was hard. Also the leopard print (meant to be cheetah print) was difficult to scale down and it turned out really messy. Cause I overloaded the blue blobs :/ But that makes me love it, I love how that leopard print looks, and just the red and blue together. Yum :P I wish I'd slanted the blue part of my index finger the other direction, but you learn from these things :)

I prefer the bow on my left hand, overall still messy. My thumb is still recovering from the cut, but it was seriously bad. Now it's much better ^_^ And I slanted the blue on my index finger the right way. Woop.
Blue: Nails Inc. - Baker Street
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
White: Models Own - Snow White
Dark Blue: Barry M - Indigo
Dark Red: w7 - Burnt Amber
Baker Street was amazing as always. It was probably too light but I think it really works. I really like the design cause it's so fun and bright and definitely bears resemblance to my shoes. I love the colours.

31 Day Challenge - Day 25 - Inspired by fashion

I wanted to keep it simple for today's design, yet cute. I love these tuxedo nails, and it's pretty fool proof. Though I thought the black and white was a tad boring so I wanted to jazz it up.

Of course jazzing it up for me means hot pink bows and a sparkly black coat. I get excited easily. But they are just so sweet as well.

Colours used:
White: No7 - Snowflake
Hot Pink: No7 - Me! Me! Me!
Sparkly Black: Topshop - Gyspy Night
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black

At first I was annoyed that I bought a jelly white nail polish, as I wanted a creme. But now I can definitely see all the advantages of it. Well 4 coats for full opacity isn't one of them. But its goes on easily and probably won't get gloopy as fast as a creme. And now I can do jelly sandwiches to my hearts desire (but not like my failed one :P).

Equipment used:
Toothpicks
