White Nails: No.7 - Snowflake

Hello, white polish today. I think white polish reviews have to be done. There's not the most exciting polish colour (well to me at least) but it's essential. As a nail art person, white polish is absolutely must-have whether it's for the base or the painting; there's always something that has to be painted with white. Though Snowflake isn't really a nail art polish, a review is still essential (let's pretend ok)!!

Ok so Snowflake is a white jelly. Snowflake is different because it's a jelly. But that's about it. I'm not gonna talk about shades of white cause that'll be too interesting for everybody (and I don't know much about shades of white).

This is my final No.7 polish to show, it's a shame that this brand is so underground cause the polishes are genuinely brilliant. I know I say I'll get more then I don't but again I'm very selective with my polish purchases. But maybe I'll have more No.7 to show you one day. Also I like the name Snowflake.

The formula of this is actually really good and I didn't even realise. Normally with jelly polishes the moment it gets on mah nails it bubbles. Like crazy. I thought this was all my fault but I did thicker coats than I was meant to, as usual. I didn't wait very long between coats, as usual. But no bubbles!!
Since jellies are a bit sheerer than cremes I used 3 coats (which isn't bad at all) and while it's not completely opaque, it's pretty good. It also applied completely smoothly and easily, I'm thinking of making this my new white base. I've had this for YEARS but it's not gloopy at all!! And of course Snowflake is brilliant for jelly sandwiches.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a really nice day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M - Silver Glitter

Hey there guys, hope you're doing good. I'm throwing back to an old limited edition, recently I posted this year's Boots limited edition and today I have 2011's Boots limited edition. Wow the polish obsession has existed for a while. I had to check if it was 2011, but I have the 2012 Christmas limited editions so yes, 2011. And Barry M has always been awesome so this one is obviously good :P

So Silver Glitter is, as you can guess, silver glitter. At least then they named their limited editions in 2011, what happened after then for about 3 years? Anyway this silver glitter is in a clear base and isn't your standard silver glitter. The glitter is more like tiny tiny bars and it's really nice. Boots won the limited edition competition, as I'm pretty sure Superdrug didn't get any.

I have a super nice combo with this polish as part of this, and I explained the backstory of how this polish came to me (the 2 bottles I own) which I can assure you is super interesting. The lid is all holographic which is somewhat deceiving as if this polish was holographic I would be raving mad over it. But this I think a standard silver glitter should be part of all polish collections.

The glitter in this polish is crazy crazy dense, it's crazy. Here I have 1 coat. ONE COAT!! What even???! The glitter spread so well and didn't clump in any areas, so yeah Barry M's always had glitter polishes down. I put that ONE COAT over Revlon Dreamer.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Red Nails: Barry M - Carousel

Hey guys!! I have an absolutely GORGEOUS polish today. What's happened to me? I am such a red gal lately and I don't even know why. I think I've been lucky enough to get a bunch of awesome reds and this one is the cherry. But not literally, this polish is very much not cherry coloured. But it's beautiful and I'm glad I snatched it up. Also the name, adorable!!

The colour of this just melts my heart. It is simply stunning, like I could just look at this colour and be happy. It's amazing.
Carousel is a beautiful light orange-y red polish with a very very subtle golden shimmer (which I really don't mind it not showing up, it's kind of like Barry M Blue Moon that way). I wonder when my eyes decided they loved red, it's weird but I love it. This is much more orange toned than any red I own and I think it's unique. I thought it could be a not textured OPI Jinx, but it's very different. And beautiful in it's own way!! :3

Part of this year's summer limited editions, I always snatch these up whenever they come out. And I think this year Boots has won the competition, as usually I think Superdrug has. I think what Superdrug has is nice, but Boots has super pretty cremes (especially this one!!) which are better. The names are also existing and are really good!! I'm glad they listened to my request ;) I'm so glad Barry M does these, cause they're special and more polish for me haha!! Oo and oh my goodness the lid has little hearts and it's the cutest thing ever!! :D

The formula was so perfect, 2 coats for full opacity. From seeing the bottle I thought this would be quite sheer but it was the very opposite and it glided and was smooth and generally perfect. If there are any bubbles as usual that's my fault for not waiting long enough. Another note is that the formula is quite thick and is the kind that if you don't apply quickly enough, the flaws in application will show. If you get me.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Pink Nails: No.7 - Me! Me! Me!

Hey guys!! Another pink nails post today, I think I own the most pink polish, I just love pink. I got this polish ages ago, it was the first hot pink polish I ever got (and many more followed). I didn't have my swatch series when I got it so I kind of forgot to do a post about Me! Me! Me! (and the typing the name requires more effort), but we're here today and I also forgot how gorgeous this polish is, it's gorgeous man.

Like really. How did I forget? This is stunning, I <3 <3 <3 pinks like this and I guess I got distracted by Orly Basket Case and I think Me! Me! Me! looks even better in real life.
So yeah Me! Me! Me! is a hot pink creme, no frills, a straight up pink polish. I can't ask for anymore, I really love this, it's a shame I used a ton of this "back in the day" cause my bottle is quite depleted.

No. 7 is Boots own brand of makeup and skincare, and clearly the quality of polish is very high from my experiences with their polish (and I heard the other stuff in the line is good too) and I've been looking up swatches and the polish looks so legit, clearly this is something I need to look more into (they have a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream, clearly I need to snatch that up). When Boots were giving away the £5 off vouchers like crazy my friend's mum let me use it and yes I got this, she's the best.

The formula was fabulous, it was very opaque, glided in an elegant way and the brush was perfect. 2 coats done, 1 coat for short nails, probably. Seriously the No. 7 formula is good, I really do need to get more. Problem is I'm saying I need a lot more of a lot of brands :/ Need to sort myself out haha. I have a comparison post with Me! Me! Me! cause crazily enough I have a few polishes similar to this.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M - Tinsel Town

Hi there guys!! Another glitter here today, a great gift from my friend (they are all the best). It was a Boots Christmas Limited Edition, love them. But once again I think Superdrug had the better pair, that's just the way it goes. Oh yeah and bar glitter, I really don't mind it to the point where I quite like it. Your bar glitter is not wasted on me.

I guess the other name for this polish is Boots Xmas Limited Edition 2013 D but I'm glad they're finally naming these polishes. Tinsel Town is a pretty good name for this. Well this polish has long pink, purple and green bar glitter, pretty fun, pretty funky.

Some of the pieces of bar glitter were a bit sticky out-y (that sounds stupid) and topcoat couldn't tame it. I pulled out the odd piece that was sticking out. Sometimes the tips would have protruding bar glitter. Not particularly bad though.

I used 3 coats over OPI My Current Crush and the only reason I did that was because I wanted the glitter packed look (like usual). The bar glitter spread really really well, I had no migration to the tips and there was tons of glitter from each coat. A+ bar glitter I say. I just want to say I much prefer shorter bar glitter compared to longer bar glitter, this is longer bar glitter so it's not completely my cup of tea.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Pink Nails: Barry M - Boots Xmas Limited Edition 2012 B

Hello there. Pink Foil isn't the official name of the polish, it's BLE 2012 B 242 (Boots Limited Edition 2012 B Number 242), but I thought pink foil sounded slightly better. Maybe it has a name but until I find it, it's Pink Foil.

It's part of Barry M's limited edition polishes for Christmas, which I love. I have the one from last year so I went to Boots looking (Superdrug has some too). It wasn't exactly hard to find, there's a gold one too (the bottle caps are super cute btw :P) but I've never been a gold kind of girl. There's gold flecks within this polish, it's very pretty. The formula is great, 1 coat and you're set. Literally perfect in terms of formula. I really like it, I don't have many foil polishes but the colour of this is really nice like kind of raspberryish, it's very metallic too.

Have a nice day and thank you for reading!!! :)
