Pink blossoms + blue leaves nail art

Hi guise!! I find it hard to differentiate between floral designs in the title but well they are pretty similar haha. This design was inspired by Lacquerstyle cause sometimes a girl needs some simple stylish floral nail art in her life. Also I'm not great at florals, well it's hit or miss. Actually I do think this one was in between but it was nice to wear.

I wasn't happy (well not unhappy but neutral), so I slammed a load of glitter on top to distract. I think it works but then I just love glitter (if you learn one thing about me). Like I think the design is nice enough but that's about it. Nothing special, the colours just about come together in the design.

This was an all toothpick design, I tried to be loose and artsy but sometimes that doesn't work out for me haha. I think I did ok with spacing and not putting too many flowers on a nail?

Purple: Barry M - Prickly Pear
Pinks: Barry M - Fuchsia and Barry M - Boots LE 2012 B
Green: Illamasqua - Melange
Blue: H&M - Blue My Mind
Glitter: M&S - Light Mix and Rimmel - Disco Ball

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Falling purple blossoms + striped nails

Hey there guys!! This manicure was inspired by the Manicurator, I thought this look was really pretty and I did my take on it (hers was better haha) except with purple and brown. I love the combination of purple and brown now.

I was trying to make the other flowers more artsy and had a bit of a fail, it's just too messy. But I love the stripes and the falling flowers, really nice. I know the stripes aren't perfect, but for freehanding it I don't think it's too bad. The flowers over the stripes were my fave, it's a classy look?

I mentioned I freehanded the stripes, and everything else I used toothpicks and the brush of the polishes. Like I used the brush of the polish for the stripes and tidied up with toothpicks if needed be. For the brown parts of the flower I tried to be more loose and free and go a bit wild. But I think it was too wild, the loose and free has worked for me a lot but not for this design.

White: Barry M - Cotton
Purple: Illamasqua - Jo'Mina
Pinky purple: Illamasqua - Seance
Light purple: Barry M - Prickly Pear
Dark purple: OPI - Plum & Get It
Brown: w7 - Brownie

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a really nice day!! :)

Drawn orange blossoms + coral gradient nails

Hey there guys, happy April Fool's Day!! Yep it's been another while, my exams are serious this time and I'm not prepared and I'm worried. Constantly there's always a million things to do, like I have to learn how to drive well and have various music exams amidst my serious exams but just going to try my best cause really what else can I do? Yeah even on my holidays I don't have time for this, but I'm spending a little bit of time to get some blog stuff sorted, I like that there's some kind of structure here unlike everything else haha.
So I have some floral nail art (ages ago, the backlog is so massive that I don't know how I'm gonna tackle it) and I really like it and I'm showing it cause I can?

I love a good floral print, I tried to make the flowers more "artsy" and had all kinds of orange blending and fading and stuff. I did the outline in brown cause I'm so wild but I really like it. I think I could've chosen a better background colour but I love a bit of glitter.

For the "gradient" I really just dabbed and used the brushes of the polishes cause it was going to be covered and laziness. I painted the basic shape of the flowers and then added the other orange polishes from lightest to darkest. I was very loose and free with the outline and dotted the centres. I was considering not doing the outline but I really like it here so I'm glad I did it.

Base: Body Collection - Orange Pink (no name)
Coral: Spa Ritual - Wilderness
Glitter: Barry M - Starlet
Peach: w7 - Linen
Brown: w7 - Brownie
Orange (lightest to darkest): Chilli Pepper - Orange (no name), Models Own - Beach Party and Essie - Fear Or Desire

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Red/Blue Blossom Nails

Hey there guys!! It's a nail art day and I love floral nail art and my problem has always been that I'm not very good at it :( Again it's another hit and miss thing for me, except I think with floral nail art when I hit, I HIT!! I'm very happy with this one, elegant flowers are the shizz.

I was trying to be artsy and when I do that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I don't try really hard it tends to work and vice versa (reverse psychology?), and artsiness is me in this design.
With the peach base, I thought some pinky red and blue flowers would go really nice on top. I think I managed to do the shading ok too. The black dots really helped the design an thankfully I didn't mess it up!! I felt so elegant with this design on ;)

For the artsiness, I got my toothpick and actually just went mental making loose flower shapes. Seriously mental, there was no set shape going on (I think that's my downfall) and I avoided outlines this time round. The leaves were more structured also I didn't want them all over the place so they're very orderly. For the bits of glitter I did a little bit of fishing, not tough fishing though if you know what I mean?

Base: Paris Collection - Brown Beaute
Red: OPI - Dutch Tulips
Pink (hard to see): Models Own - Radiant Pink
Dark blue: H&M - Blue My Mind
Light blue: Models Own - Asscher Blue
Black: M&S - Petrol
Green: Illamasqua - Melange
Green glitter: Orly - Go Deeper

Thanks very much for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)
