Fox Print Nail Art

Hey there guys!! I hope you're doing sweet, I'm alright just super tired lol. Was my birthday over the weekend so that was some nice gatherings and I have new polish which I've v excited about that. So I love today's design and I think it's absolutely perfect for Autumn.

It's your neutral base with a fox print but I just love the uniformity of the foxes and the colour!! And how cute they are!! Also I'm pretty proud that I managed to basically get them all the same. It's so simple but I love the way it works :3

So I started with the white beard bit and positioned them polka dot style. Then the orange bit with a different toothpick and then the positioning of eyes and nose. The white in the eyes really bring everything to life.

Beige: Nails Inc - Sao Paulo Streets (such a slick colour)
Orange: Barry M - Carousel (which is actually red)
White: Barry M - Cotton
Black: Rimmel - Black Pearl

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a really nice day!! :)

Grey Nails: Barry M - Chai

Hello there palios!! Happy Halloween!! You probably can tell I'm too fussed about Halloween, I didn't even attempt to do any nail art. Instead here I have swatches of the 1st grey polish I have ever owned. Exciting times. This is from the Autumn Gelly collection, legitimate exciting times. "Fall" is not my season, as you may be able to tell but I'm pretty much bright all year round. However I really did like the Autumn Gelly collection this year, the colours are perfectly appropriate and genuinely nice. When I saw there was a grey and it was Barry, I knew it was time to get my first grey polish.

Chai is your straight darkish grey creme. And it's fab, not incredibly fab like some other polishes but it's just really nice grey polish. That's all Chai promises to be and it lives up to that and more. My thought is that grey is a boring colour but honestly Chai kind of changes my mind and makes me see differently. Who can deny it's a nice grey polish?

I always get excited about the Gelly collections, always look forward to them. Go look up the other polishes in this collection cause they're really nice like every other jelly polish. Ok I think I'd like Chai more if it had shimmer, but you know straight up no shimmer polishes are needed in the world too. But after looking up Chai, I haven't seen any grey tea so I don't really understand the name.

The formula is perfect. Like a standard Gelly polish, it's perfect. You could totally do 1 coat and it'd be opaque, smooth and it would apply beautifully. I did 2 coats from habit and I got to glide twice.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

31DC2013: Day 31 - Recreate a manicure you love

Hi there guys!! We are here, I am finished!! Only 10 days after everyone else!! Woo!! Recap post coming soon where I'll mention favourites and unexpected favourites and other thoughts. This is was a difficult prompt for me cause there are so many amazing nail art designs out there (especially right after this year's 31 day challenge!!) but I really wanted to do one I LOVE and not just really like. This is where Lucy's Stash's one stroke flower nails come in, I'm tried to do something inspired by this before, but this has a different colour scheme and it's just different in general (read: no where near as good but I still like it).

I even used the dark red base (with glitter of course to make it more pink) and very much enjoy it!! Maybe the seasonal trends are rubbing off on me (haha no, that's never the case). I just painted some pink flowers which hold no candle to the original but my version are like a more cartoony version. I've painted better flowers before but this has glimpses of something pretty. I really like the colour scheme (always love a good pink and red clash), it's just nice :)

It's weird that on my last challenge day last year I cut by nails at the same time. I just have things to do and long nails make things that bit harder. Normally I cut them and hate my nails short but for the first time I'm actually quite liking it. Though long nails are my favourite, I'm trying to find my perfect happy medium.

Red base: Nails Inc - Tate and OPI - Excuse Moi!
White: Lovely Me:Ex - White
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Bright pink: Color Club - Wing Fling
Other pinks: Barry M - Boots Xmas LE 2012 B and Per Una - Pink (no name)

I just posting here will be back to regular posting with my little series that I do, my "full" thoughts on the challenge will be in my recap post. But yays that I finished this business!! Thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day!! :)
