Blue Nails: Barry M - Indigo

Hey there guys!! How is it October already?? I was starting school yesterday and now a month has past and it's October :/ This post was a long time coming but my bottle was running low and it's difficult to get polish out!! This is also my final reswatch, you couldn't even call my last swatch of this a swatch cause it was so gross in every way and I didn't even write much about it.

Indigo is a lovely dark blue with purple tones (as you'd suspect with a polish called Indigo) which can be demure sometimes but bright other times depending on the lighting. Really pretty colour here, my favourite dark blue and just a great blue in general. I would so use it more if my polish wasn't so deplenished, I used to use this colour a lot when the bottle was fuller.

This is a pretty old Barry M and I got it in 2011, always been quality that Barry M. This polish made it into my 2012 favourites which attests to it's greatness. You know many a Barry has been in my favourite, it's just the best and nobody does it better. I am pumped to check out the new Autumn Gelly collection :)

I just want to say that the brush of this polish is very thin (not all Barry M's just this one) so that's why it's difficult to get polish out.
I was afraid to use this polish but it was so much more opaque than I expected!! I used 2 coats and that was all I needed. Also why the coats took a bit more effort and patience, it was worth it and not even that big of a hassle. So it's acc great, even more so if you have a full bottle!!

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a nice day!! :)

Top 10 Nail Polishes Of 2012: Part 1

Hello there wonderful people. I have my top 10 polishes of last year, I am very excitement. I'm a bit later than everyone else but not too late!! :P I love lists (that makes me sound like a freak :P) and favourites so this is perfect for me. These aren't all polishes that came out in 2012, but I know a lot of them did. These are all polishes that I love, and find myself using them over and over. I'm going to do this in 3 parts, from 10 to 1, which is a bit random but I want to give some love to these nail polishes :)

10. Barry M - Hologram Hexograms. A clear base with lots of hexagonal pieces of holographic glitter. I adored holographic glitter, I really do. I find this polish enhances manicures, whatever the design, polka dots, flowers, galaxies etc. It makes it better. Since it would be pretty redundant to do a swatch of this, I have some pictures of this polish in action :P

31 Day Challenge - Half Moons
Hello Kitty Gone Wild

9. Barry M - Indigo. A dark blue/indigo creme (kind of). It's one of my favourite layering polishes. I used 2 coats, my bottle is well-loved so there's little left so it wasn't completely smooth for me. Sorry for the crappy picture, I got 1 picture on my camera (which was SO colour inaccurate) and then my camera died. My phone ended up being the saviour but it's not very good quality but colour accurate (I'll probably re-swatch this another time).

I used Indigo in my favourite layering combo

8. Barry M - Blue Moon. Yeah bit of a Barry M party. Blue Moon is a pale blue with blue shimmer. I love that blue shimmer which I find really difficult to photograph. It was my first favourite polish, then I found another ton of polishes but it still has my heart :P

7. Essie - Bikini So Teeny. A relatively new addition to my collection but I love this colour. A cornflower blue with silver/blue/purple-ish shimmer. I felt bad about adding this in as I feel I'm betraying Revlon - Dreamer, but this is such a pretty colour, it has a more purple tone compared to Dreamer. I don't know if my bottle is different to other people's but everyone's swatches look lighter to mine, but oh well. The colour is still lovely. I used 2 coats here.

Well that was rambly, and consisted of a lot of blues. I hope you enjoyed this post (despite the ramblings). I shall be posting part 2 and 3 soon (full of polishes I love even more than these :)) and I'm very excited. Hope you all are having a lovely day :)

Match Made In Heaven: Starry Night

Hello there. Today I will be showing my absolute favourite layering combination. In my eyes it is perfect, I do this combo so much. I will probably never get tired of it. So I want to do a nice little post on it so here goes. I've done it so much that I have used up most of the bottles for these 3 polishes that I used for this combo. I really love it.

I have a lot of pictures. Be ready.

I have a selection of different lighting to choose from :P Cause colours change depending on the light. But isn't it pretty? (If you don't think so, keep it to yourself :P). I honestly think it's reminiscent of a starry night, the first time I looked at it I named it that, and that was last year. It also has holographic glitter which adds to it's perfectness. I didn't do a holographic goodness picture cause my camera wasn't handling it too well. If only I could take more accurate photos.

More pictures, I have to.
Blue: Barry M - Indigo
Silver Glitter: Barry M - Silver Glitter
Holographic Glitter: Barry M - Hologram Hexograms
Indigo is far darker than what it looks like in the bottle, I've said before it's great for layering. I think it's a great polish, there's 2 coats here. The formula is good but since I have not that much left it wasn't very smooth but the silver glitter covered over that.

It started when my friend told me Indigo and the Silver Glitter would look really nice together (she had got me both for Christmas). So I did that and...it was alright, I just thought something was missing. One fateful day (I make it sound so dramatic :P) I decided to add the Hologram Hexograms. It was a glorious moment.

Haha there's a story behind the silver glitter too (not the most interesting one). I was in Boots with my best friend and I saw the silver glitter (it's limited edition by the way;)). I told myself "I don't need it, I don't need it, tell me I don't need it". My friend of course said "You need it". I didn't buy it. But another day pretty soon after I did :/ And my other friend gives me another bottle so I have 2. Oh well I really like it. It's a very dense glitter, I have 1 coat on. It really will cover the whole nail.

I look at my nails and say (out loud), "It's so pretty" and the glitters work perfectly together. I get a lot of compliments every time I have this on, and that has to be a good thing :P I don't think the pictures will ever do it justice cause it's so beautiful :)
