Gimme Glitter: Topshop - Adrenalin

Hey there guys!! It's been another while, this has been a recurring theme this year. I say this all the time which I understand is annoying but I feel kind of bad disappearing for large chunks of time all the time haha. So a lot's gone down in terms of relaxing and loving life cause times have been good. I got my AS level results and I'm really happy with what I got. Now I have to sort university stuff -_- I'm just trying to relax as much as possible before everything gets real again. I do like blogging but I suppose I've stuff been doing other things, like movies and meeting up with people.
Anyway I have a glitter polish which I got cause limited edition packaging cause I'm a total sucker. It's very similar to Razzmatazz but that's one of my favourites. But Adrenalin is pink so totally worth it, and the packaging is rose gold cause of Topshop Makeup's 5th birthday, so even more worth.

Adrenalin is a clear pink base with tons of holographic glitter with some bigger holographic hexes. It's real nice but I did the wrong combo. I love me some holographic glitter, not as much as I used to, I have to say I prefer some matte glitter, it's just so colourful o.O

I've always loved Topshop nail polish, they're cremes are the most solid. As part of the 5th anniversary they released some other pretty cremes but nothing really special. I was even debating buying this one cause it's pretty similar to Razzmatazz but the packaging. As I previously mentioned I am a sucker.

I think I used 2 coats (since I've been away for a while, naturally these swatches were done a while ago), there were no formula issues at all. Very easy to apply and tons of glitter. I put this over Barry M Dragon Fruit.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a nice day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M - Starlight (Limited Edition)

Hi there!! I'm liking the bit of time I get to sit and write up these posts, once school starts back I have to make cupcakes for my class and lol let's not even start about winter exam results but it's nice to have a few days off. It's Barry M limited edition time, I do this every year you know the drill, I pick my favourite limited editions and I show them off. There's still 1 limited edition I intend to get but from the promos I knew this one would be my favourite.

It's holographic glitter pal. The mix is so nice, there's gold and pink (hard to tell but it's a pale pink and it's really nice) hexes with silver holographic stars and small pink glitter in a clear base. It's kind of classy and would be perfect for a party ;)

You know me, you know I love Barry M, and I love those limited editions. Every season I try to get the nice ones, this winter there's 2 in Boots (Moonlight and Starlight), 2 in Superdrug (Jingle Bells and Christmas Tree) and even 1 in Tesco (Twilight). You'll hopefully be seeing one of the other ones, though here's a hint, I'm not the biggest fan of bar glitter. I love that they're glitter polishes too, you know me, you know I LOVE glitter.

Haha I was trying to show the pink glitter and the only way to do that is take a picture in the bathroom, you can see the shower head ahahahaha
You know what to expect with Barry, the glitter spread was super great and there was loads of glitter. I used 2 coats and I didn't even pack the brush with glitter. The stars stuck out a bit, but that's gonna happen when you have curved nails and it's not that bad, otherwise all the glitter stays at bay. I put this over Nails Inc Sao Paulo Streets, cause neutrals are classy, like me. I'm excited to put this over a bright colour though :P

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Nails Inc - Abbey Road

Hello chums!! Another Gimme Glitter today, a nice little Nails Inc. Literally; it's a mini bottle. A friend got this for me for Christmas as she was my secret Santa but that little set had some lovely polishes, this being one of my favourites from the set!! :)

The neon pink top strikes again! (A different neon pink top, I love neon pink if you couldn't tell)
So Abbey Road is an extremely dense silver holographic glitter polish, and man it's dense. It's not the most holographic thing you'll ever see but it's pretty impressive in the sun. The glitter particles are also very small, but even so it covers the nail.

Ah no I forgot the name of the set this came in, but I know Notting Hill Gate, Tate, Richmond Terrace and Porchester Square came with it. I've never seen a full size bottle of this but I wouldn't buy it. It's not special enough for a Nails Inc as much as I love holographic glitter.

Blurry purposefully so you can see the sparkle, also my cuticles were no bueno :/
This polish covers extremely well, I used 2 coats for full opacity and just touched up streaky parts, it's kind of like textured polish. It also feels kind of like textured polish so much topcoat is recommended.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Gimme Glitter: Barry M - Fairy Lights

Hi there!! Oh man I've been so busy, I will be trying to get more nail art up but first I have to do more nail art. I've been really pressed for time, so I've got a Gimme Glitter today. I love glitter, hopefully you do too to appreciate these posts. I've said a lot that I really love the Barry M limited editions and this one is no different. I always say I think Superdrug get the better ones and this time I think it was the same deal. I was hunting for this during November and December and when it finally appeared I grabbed. Also the names, so glad there are names now and Fairy Lights is the cutest name!!

Holographic glitter, everything is holographic glitter. Oh my. Fairy Lights is your glitter topper FILLED with small pink holographic glitter. Sometimes simple is better and this is one of those times cause HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER IS EVERYTHING.

I want Barry M limited editions forever, the Boots holographic glitter one was similar. But not pink, I wanted pink even though because of the holographic glitter they are pretty much identical. Using a darker pink as a base made the glitter stand out more though and in some lighting you could see the pink but it took away the holographic so you'd put it back in the light.

I used 2 coats (1 for thumb), as you know I like having a lot of glitter so 2 coats gave me tons. It spread great and it was beautiful. Oh you holographic glitter.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!!! :)

Blue Bling Leopard Print

Oh hey there everyone!! Yay for Friday!! And the end of school!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Unfortunately I realised my posting may still be a sporadic cause my summer is crazy (bummed about that). Hallelujah for summer!! But we'll see what I can do, it may not be that sporadic. Summer = relaxation = no effort. Oh man I am not a fan of effort. So today I have a leopard print, I have not used up my other leopard print for this month, so it had to happen. And this one is sparkly O.o

There I was with my blue nails and I questioning what to do. I really didn't know. But I recently I arranged my stash, I arrange by colour (not brand cause colour is what I go by) with some favourites at the front. But I decided to put all my favourites at the front, and whilst sitting there I saw Hologram Hexograms out of the corner of my eye and I had a crazy idea... Which I rolled with.

I decided to use Barry M - Hologram Hexograms as the leopard spots, I would blob a bit then use a toothpick for a bit more placement. The abundance of clear polish created lumps but it wasn't too bad and I didn't mind. The hexes could constitute as "glequins" (term created by The Nailasaurus). The black went right over and they were bombin' leopard spots.
Blue: Color Club - Sky High
Light Purple: Barry M - Berry Ice Cream
Purple: OPI - Plum And Get It
Dusty Blue: Revlon - Dreamer
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black
Fine Holographic Glitter: Nails Inc - Abbey Road
I have not used Abbey Road enough, it's right up my street!! It's holographic glitter!! I found what makes it TOTES AMAZE, adding topcoat!! I should've known this, it's not like it's some crazy hidden fact -_- It was super sparkly and that's always a good thing.

Obviously I loved the sparkle of this mani, and I liked the colours too. Also I abuse leopard print, but what's new?
I hope you have a great weekend!! Hopefully I can do some nice posts over the summer and thank you for reading!! :)

Hello Kitty Gone Wild

Hello there!!!! I hope you're enjoying your Sunday (or what's left of it in my case). For a while I have been wanting to do a Hello Kitty mani. Obviously I've done one before (who hasn't?) but I wanted to do another one. I had an idea of a Hello Kitty accent nail and all the other nails with basic patterns. It turned out much different than that. So much better than that.

Some left hand photos. As you can see it went a little basic pattern gone wild. I adore this though. I decided to use some kind of colour scheme so I used my favourite colours and polishes (duh).

Like the leopard print and the cherry blossoms I would do as full manicures. Which I totally might do. I was trying something slightly different for the leopard print. I tried doing heart shapes, which got killed by the black lines, but I really like it. The weird blob shapes make it interesting.
Robin Egg's Blue (cause I'm that obsessive): The Face Shop - GR501
Turquoise: Essie - Turquoise and Caicos
Pink: OPI - Charged Up Cherry
Mint: China Glaze - Re-Fresh Mint
Glitter: Barry M - Pink Iridescent and Barry M - Hologram Hexograms
White: Models Own - Snow White
Black: Lovely Me:Ex - Black (no name)
I've been kind of disappointed with Turquoise and Caicos but using it for this mani I want to use it loads more. Everyone's pictures makes it look so nice, hopefully one day it will be that nice in my eyes.

I did a mild gradient on my middle finger, very subtle. It turned out ok, that was the last design I did in this mani. I loved it already but there was one more thing to add to make it perfect. HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER!!!! Then it was perfect.

It does have some elements of Hello Kitty e.g. the Hello Kitty type bow on my thumb. And that's about it.

Some right hand pictures which I'm very proud of. I think Hello Kitty turned out better on this hand. I can never get good right hand pictures, my hand always slants and my lighting is never right.

I loved this mani, it has my favourite designs and favourite colours all in one manicure. When that can happen, it's a beautiful thing :') :P
