Pink Nails: The Face Shop - PK105

Hello there friends, I have a nice pretty pink polish today. I clearly love pinks like this cause I have a million of them. I really should try some variety, and I can't get rid of a single one cause they all have different merits and they're so pretty!! Also they are completely different so yeah.

But I really like this Face Shop one, it's more jelly-ish and come on the colour!! PK105 is a bright medium pink and man it's not my favourite colour but I'm addicted to it!! Still complaining about the lack of name. Like where's the name? This has such melodious vibes attached to this polish though.

The Face Shop polish is awesome, I haven't had a single one disappoint me and as long as I'm not stupid I can keep it that way. That reminds me I get to visit The Face Shop over the summer, consider me pumped. They're polishes are so sweet, and on the sweet note I thinking of getting more of the Yogurt range they were incredible.

2 coats and you're sorted. I can't remember very well but I think I did 3 just for more opacity. The polish glided so well and I don't know I feel like the formula was kind of gel-esque which worked really well.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!! :)

Comparison: Hot Pinks

Hello there!! I was curious about some hot pinks I had as they looked similar and obviously the only way to find out is through nail comparisons. I just really like hot pinks and thinking "Oh I don't have a polish like this", buy it, to find I do have polishes like this. And taking a leaf out of The Polishaholic's book I'm doing a comparison (though no where near as amazing as her comparison posts).

What can I say, I like hot pinks. Clearly from the photo The Face Shop - PK105, Orly - Basket Case and No.7 - Me!Me!Me! are nearly exactly the same. Not dupes though, Me!Me!Me! is slightly darker and PK105 is slightly lighter and brighter, slightly being the key word.
Obviously I don't need all 3 but things rack up before you realise it, but after this comparison I realised I prefer Me!Me!Me! and PK105 to Basket Case, those differences make a difference. I included Nails Inc - Notting Hill Gate as the 4th polish cause I thought it may be kind of similar, kind of being the key word. It's over white and it's more orange-toned and brighter than the others, out of all of them Notting Hill Gate is my favourite.

I used 2 coats of each polish, and 2 coats of Notting Hill Gate is over Barry M - Matt White. All formulas were great, normally Basket Case requires 3 coats but thick coats conquered that. Me!Me!Me! has an awesome formula that glides and the brush shape is perfect for painting. It really needs to be used more. Pk105 normally also requires 3 coats but I guess I used thick coats there too.
I got Me!Me!Me! first with my friend's mum's Boots voucher, before this blog started, then PK105 last July (I first used it for penguin nail art), then Basket Case then Notting Hill Gate as a present last Christmas. These things build up without you realising!! :/ Even in my post about Basket Case I said I had 2 similar polishes, I never realised how similar. That being said I do like all these pinks.

I have to say this post was really fun, also it's interesting seeing how close some polishes are. I want to compare all my polish now!! Another one of these posts should appear in the future. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Combo: Barbie Girl

Yay another combo!!! I'm not going to do one combo and leave like 3 weeks in-between before the next one ;) Also since I love combinations I don't see why not. Seeing the mani it's pretty clear why I called it "Barbie Girl" (well I think anyway).

Hot pink and the flakies really make it Barbie. Ok I can't explain why, it just does, at least to me. This picture is the most true to colour out of all the pictures. The multicoloured flakies on top make it like jumbled and I thought it could be colours of purchases or something (I just made that up :L). I again used The Face Shop - PK105 (used for the pink penguins) and oh my goodness it is the most amazing hot pink.

Ok the colour did not show up correctly (I could not find good lighting in my cousins house also my camera just wouldn't co-operate) but it's way brighter. When I was looking at the pink I thought "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE??!". But I also like hot pink which also contributed to my love of the polish. I did 3 coats (it was 2 coats for opacity but did another one for luck).

The flakies were OPI - I Lily Love You. This is 3 coats (it's very thin). I broke my ban again. :L But it was on my list (obviously that justifies it)!!!! And it was either that or China Glaze - Snow Globe (Snow Globe has been rejected in my head quite a few times). Simple put I lily love this polish (:L). I love flakies I love how they are iridescent so they are different colours in the light. I love that the base is pink (even though it doesn't really matter cause it doesn't show up when layered). It's gorgeous, nuff said.

Hehe close up of Barbie Girl. Yes without saying, I really like this combo, not a favourite (I have something else for favourites ;)) but it's lovely. And really fun :)
