Combo: Blue Superhero

Hello there dearest nail people (almost called you polish :P)!!! The long week is over!! Oh yeah buddy, it has been a long week. Exams were thick and fast, but the worst is over and exams are almost over (until they start again :/). Anyway to polish!!! I wanted nails that wouldn't distract me, last year I had some multicoloured leopard print (surprised?) which I'll probably do again (it definitely wasn't bad, I just want more multicoloured leopard print :)). So I picked one of my favourites, if not my favourite polish, Nails Inc - Baker Street (2 coats) and topped it with some glitter. The result was pretty great.

I called this blue superhero cause in my head, superhero = red, yellow and blue (a.k.a my favourite colour combination). There's no yellow here but that's why it's a blue superhero.
I added one of my favourite glitter polishes on top, Barry M - Superdrug Xmas LE 2012 (2 coats). The mixture of red, blue, silver and holographic glitter (which makes this special) is really something.
Unfortunately the blue glitter wasn't showing up so great, apparently too similar in colour to the base.
I do have another post showing off the whole beauty of this glitter.
Aw man I love this combo, when you combine 2 awesome polishes, double awesome all the way across the sky is likely to happen.
Unfortunately for me that meant distraction, and a lot of it. I thought "Oh it's just glitter over blue, I'll be fine", the amount of times I would stop and stare and literally say "Ooooo sparkly" was more than I'd like to admit (accompanied by O.o face). Wasn't too disruptive so overall it was ok. But it's a super sweet combo, I loved having it on.

Trying to a show a bit of that great holographic sparkle
I hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you for reading!!! :)

Top 10 Nail Polishes Of 2012: Part 3

Hey there, I have my final part of my favourite nail polishes. We're getting into serious business (:P), my lighting has been really difficult lately but I'm somewhat happy with the pictures I managed to take. To be honest my top 3 are pretty much all joint number 1, and I only just about managed to place them in order due to slight preferences but I love them all ;) So here we go again :)

3. The Face Shop - GR501. The only problem with this polish is the not at all cute name, or lack of name really. Otherwise this is the perfect robin's egg blue that I was searching high and low for. Robin's egg blue is my absolute favourite colour and this polish also has a lovely formula, wear time is pretty good but topcoat will make it even better. This is one my camera had severe difficulties with, GR501 is a bit greeny and my camera wanting to make every green polish turn blue. Pictures weren't coming out right. I'm proud of my editing cause it's actually colour accurate as opposed to a total fail (which is what usually happens).

2. Topshop - Razzmatazz. I have previously mentioned my love for holographic glitter (:O I LOVE HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER), Razzmatazz has a lilac/blue base packed with small pieces of holographic glitter and some larger pieces too. I have been really impressed by the Topshop nail polishes (I want to buy more ;)), the packaging is SO cute too. 2 coats shown over Revlon Dreamer.

1. Nails Inc - Baker Street. Yes, Baker Street the polish at absolutely everyone has been raving about (and I was happy to join the rave train) and the moment I saw it on The Sneakerette I needed it. It's a bright cobalt blue and it's beautiful, 'nuff said :P

And there you have it, my top 10 polishes of last year, I'm surprised with my lack of pinks but that can easier change ;) May this year be filled with beautiful polishes too!!! :)

Blue Nails: Nails Inc. - Baker Street

I should really stop writing about my ban cause it's obviously not working. Including this polish I got another 2 -_- But the white was essential. Also there was me writing about how you can't say no to cheap nail polish. Boots has a clearance section -_- Needn't to say I bought all the Revlon nail polish there cause it was 50p (literally impossible to say no)!!! I'm giving most of it away (I promise!). But the polish in this post, no regrets at all because it's amazing and I love it.

                                                     (Artificial Light)

                                                      (Natural Light)

My first Nail Inc. polish. The colour is absolutely amazing. And for some weird reason I love the bottle. It dried like half matte and half shiny, which I thought was really cool, but I put a top coat on top so the pictures are shiny. I saw this polish on The Sneakerette and I thought "I need it". Which I did. It's the most amazing bright cobalt blue. 2 coats for full opacity, 1st coat was a bit streaky but the 2nd coat made it amazing. I think this is quite a new Nails Inc. polish. I don't know if this was just me but it didn't smell great. Normally I can ignore the smell or I don't really smell anything, but this I guess smelt a bit weird. Anyway I don't care, cause it's amazing.
